Throwback to when I designed and made a very simple fixture using an off the shelf @dremel press in order to easily press light pipes into an injection molded enclosure 🔥 The pressing die was printed in @formlabs Tough 2000 and the base was printed in @Polymaker_3D ABS 💪

Someone asked if our $50 heated chamber mod for the @BambulabGlobal X1 would cause banding due to thermal expansion since it's not PID controlled 🤔 If you do the math, the changes are very small...but a picture is worth a thousand words 🤩 Printed in @Polymaker_3D PC 💪

3D printers can't solve everything, so I'm an advocate for owning as many prototyping methods as possible 🔥 This long acrylic part with flexures needed some more stiffness so I threw some stainless on the plasma and cut out a bracket - problem solved in less than an hour 💪

Posted our new product on the @BambulabGlobal Reddit & Facebook pages and got epic hate 😅 Using the term "beta test" seemed to trigger people. A limited production run to dial in mfg and fulfillment is more accurate. Lesson learned. Marketing is hard. People are toxic. 😢
