@neighborrunner If we let population size be the sole determinant of legislative power, cities would be making policy decisions about farming. The wealthy and elite city areas would end up with all the authority. This was a safeguard against those exact situations. It’s obvious it is needed.

@ikristoph @a_musingcat I think this is a health(ier) use of AI than how statistics and my anecdotal experience has seen. I teach at a bootcamp as a moonlighting gig, and I have a much younger college aged brother; young adults use it as a replacement of research and blindly trust the results.

@TheJackForge I dont think Gen AI is a real replacement for search. Its a useful but different tool that solves a different problem (answer questions) versus traditional search (find resources). I’ve been using @KagiHQ and am mostly happy with it. It has Gen AI features and search.

The legislature did a terrible job this session. We needed housing and lower business costs. They did the opposite. Of course he’s vetoing.

@vtdigger We have both a housing crisis and a labor crisis. We need to be convincing young adults to move here or stay here after college. We need to be incentivizing businesses and people to come and stay here with low or no taxes. Not scaring them away.
