@zestular I think it comes down to finance is a services biz Tech is a product biz. So once the product is created, you can focus on iteration and increasing distribution etc etc. Whereas service delivery businesses don’t really get to do that in the same way.

“Sales math” used to be simple. Just get your conversion rates for: Cold outreach -> initial meeting Initial meeting -> opportunity Opportunity -> closed won Throw in average deal size, and you could reverse engineer exactly how many cold calls/emails you need to hit quota.

If you can't break into sales, there's usually something off. It's just not that hard. Odds are you're doing something weird socially. Address this before you try again. Put in 3 months at a bar or grocery store. Chatting to everyone you see will do you a world of wonders.
