@sebjwallace @jagarikin The implication of this illusion is that the arrows prime you to perceive movement, but this is not the case. Cover the center of a circle so you can't see the arrows and you will still perceive the movements and their changes.

@sebjwallace @jagarikin The trick is the single layer of pixels at the circles interior and exterior which alternate patterns of light and dark to "nudge" perceived shapes in intended directions. So...the circle kind of is moving, one pixel width along the outside and inside. Just enough to perceive.
