We buried my aunt today. My uncle, her husband, lives in a care home. His daughter was the only one allowed anywhere near him over the last few days - No wake, no post-funeral tea and sambos. Now he goes into quarantine for 14 days. I don’t know how he will cope.😢 #holdfirm

Got knocked down by a careless driver as I cycled to work this morning😔 You can see where my front tyre hit her passenger door as she suddenly turned left across me as I was heading straight on Thankfully I’m fine. A sore wrist & grazed knee. Grateful it wasn’t so much worse🙏

Had to ask my taxi driver tonight to slow down to respect the 50km and then 30km speed restrictions as I got a lift home from town Felt like a total numpty 😳 But taxi doing 70km on 50km road 🏎 He said it didn’t matter as no Gardai out. Surely it shouldn’t work like this?

I experienced a microcosm of the lack of rural cycling / walking infrastructure when I tried to go for a jog around Downings in Donegal recently. Footpath disappeared outside town centre and dumped me on the 80km/hr Wild Atlantic (Speed) Way 🚙🚗 Utterly terrifying #ireland

My sincere condolences to Tonya McEvoy’s family. A “wobble” from a cyclist should not result in their death. Drivers must expect the unexpected at all times on our roads. We need to have a serious conversation on road safely and speed limits in this country.
