@MarburyBirds It’s a cockchafer. Sometimes called May Bug - we normally get them late May and a June when it warms up. Still Arctic here at the moment. Quite alarming when they fly in through an evening window like a giant mechanical clockwork missile - bouncing off heads and lamps. Harmless.

@robnitm What an incredible photograph. This looks like the Ford factory to me - it had four chimneys like this, Tate and Lyle didn’t. I grew up in this area and went to school in Bethnal Green. Lots of friends’ Dads worked there. The cranes are also a good indication we are by the river.
