It is a myth that Band 8 is just senior managers. I would suggest most qualified ACPs are 8a and so 2022 pay rise will be 2.6% and nowhere near the headline figure (or inflation). Also no increment for 5yrs despite the development that takes place during this time.

We've had our garage broken in to and all the bikes stolen. Many of them are not worth much but are our means of getting to work at the hospital or are sentimental (I built my old race bike so it's unique but old fashioned). Please share to make them too hot to handle. Thanks

I saw some patronising messages on here yesterday about how paramedics can't prescribe CDs as they are too dangerous for us. All paramedics from registration can administer morphine under exemption and paramedics can use CDs such as ketamine and midazolam on PGD without being 1/2

This is absolutely how I remember it. I won’t ever get over bellowing down a hands free phone whilst in level 3 PPE telling someone their husband was going to die but sorry they couldn’t come to ED to see them. I would have loved to have had a drink with colleagues but couldn’t.

Having to call an ambulance is stressful enough. This is why I don't agree with the 'fly on the wall' ambulance programmes. It puts people in distressing situations in a place where they then have to decide whether to consent to their situation being broadcast for entetainment.

prescribers. Who do you think delivers most opiate analgesia in the pre-hospital environment? Also, we can prescribe e.g. muscle relaxants, propofol and plenty of other dangerous medicines within scope of practice so it's not a safety or competence issue - it's about the law.
