We were delighted when Hugh recently got in touch to say that he had converted one of our old vehicles into (wait for it.....) an Ambrewlance!
It's now enjoying a second career with Hugh serving the good folk in and around Bristol with their favourite coffees.
1/3 Our SCAS ambulance teams and partners were called this evening to an incident of a stabbing in Reading.
Multiple ambulance resources were sent to the scene including, five ambulance crews, one specialist practitioner, three ambulance officers,
South Central Ambulance Service has declared a Critical Incident due to extreme pressures across our services. Our staff and volunteers are working extremely hard to respond to calls but the volume is overwhelming.
Following the theft of a green medical response bag from one of our ambulances, Hampshire Constabulary today arrested a 41 year old male in connection with the incident.

Ambulance egged in Cosham, Portsmouth, last night 😡🤬 As a result, crew taken out of service for period of time for cleaning on the busiest night of the week.
Fortunately not on an emergency call at the time but stupidity like this puts lives at risk.
SCAS is the first ambulance service in the country to supply COVID-19 positive patients with home oxygen monitoring kits if they don't require immediate hospital treatment but are at higher risk of complications.

Tonight SCAS has stood down the critical incident that it declared earlier today in response to increased demand on its 999 service combined with travel disruption from Storm Eunice. Thank you to all our staff, volunteers, partners, stakeholders and the public for your support.
Paramedic Lewis & ECA Donna were overwhelmed when they came out of their patient's home in Bartlemy Close, Newbury, on Friday evening.

Staff at Reading PTS station would like to say a huge thank you to Johnathon and Christie from the business ‘Carved By Hand’ who have very kindly donated a beautiful hand carved plaque to the station. This will take pride of place in the crew room.
We are sorry to hear that people have become stranded on the roads due to the snow.If that does happen please can we ask you to move to the side of the road as safely as possible. This means our ambulance team can continue to get through to 999 patients who really need their help
