Most Canadian thing ever: Friday night, I was making aloo paranthas for dinner with my flatmates. So the fire alarm turns on 🚨 and my entire building (18 floors) had to be evacuated. Firemen 🚒 arrived in minutes, checked my apartment to declare that everything was safe. 😭🙈

Day 9: My dad is feeling better, all vitals are normal, but still in ICU, on oxygen support. It has been 15 days now since he tested positive. Doctors say they will gradually decrease the external oxygen levels and we must be patient. Please keep praying for his quick recovery!

Today, towards the end of my shift, I video called the relatives of a patient who is not going to make it. We usually do that in my hospital if it’s something they want. This patient’s son asked for a few minutes of my time. He then sang a song for his dying mother.

I entered my father's ICU ward 3 times since the past 2 weeks, but things I have witnessed is no less than a nightmare. The miseries, the bodies that I have seen have affected me so much. Hats off to the doctors and nurses who are taking care to so many patients, like my dad!

@RatnRajiv Same here Professor. I am facing this difficulty as well. My heart aches to see the situation outside, while my family and I are privileged to receive all our necessities without any hassle. Today, I donated half of my salary to a beautiful NGO. That warmed my heart a bit.

However, as an applicant and an admitted student myself, I can say and prove that both MILA and UdeM had clearly specified this point in bold print in every email they sent. So I don't really think that it was unfair, though I am aware of past cases.
