My family masks to protect ourselves, our high risk immunocompromised elderly family member who lives in our home, and all of our fellow human beings 💜 None of us have had Covid! We want to keep it that way as long as possible!!!!!!

I wear a high-quality mask in public because by listening to aerosol scientists like @kprather88 , I have avoided contracting and spreading the deadly and disabling virus, protecting my own health and the health of the wider community. Infection is not inevitable.

My friend who has LC just tested positive for COVID again after having last had it in January. She took Paxlovid then and it really helped her. She wants it again for this current infection but insurance is denying it bc it's too soon. 1/3

...She told us that she brings a portable hepa and sits in ADA seating when available so she isn't in the super crowded areas of the concerts she attends. She specifically said she doesn't eat or drink so she can keep her mask sealed the entire time...

I'm seeing so many posts about people having "colds" that are obviously actually covid. My elderly Aunt was killed 2 summers ago by her caregiver who gave her "a cold" that was eventually confirmed as actually Covid. I'm so fucking angry at everyone

My husband works 12-13 hour shifts in a distribution center wearing his N95s. During this summer it's really hot and uncomfortable. & the masks make his eczema flare up. It's definitely not easy or comfortable and he still does it 🫶 Love him so much

@capybartini My entire life suicide has been my fantasy way out due to cPTSD. When you're a powerless kid being abused, dying is the only thing you can think of that would make it stop. It's actually totally normal for complex trauma survivors to think this.

@ObservingAngel One of my best friends completely changed after Covid. He used to be kind, empathetic, & caring. Now he's aggressive, cruel & heartless! He's a completely different person. It's heartbreaking 💔 I can't even be his friend anymore. He's not safe 😥

@1goodtern One my best friends claimed to "feel great" during his Covid infection. Then, a few weeks later he started experiencing extreme anxiety and depression, along with insomnia, loss of appetite, and alarming personality changes. But his Covid was "no big deal" 😬

The assistant at the dentist office who usually wears a surgical mask, but will switch to an N95 if I ask her, saw us in the waiting room and went ahead and put on the N95 without me having to ask her this time. That small action made my day 🥹

@kaelin_aether @FunFactsLulu I feel the same way about tickling. Tickling was used as a grooming behavior on me by a family member who went on to sexually abuse me for many years. Ticking is a grooming behavior even without intent to abuse. It destroys a child's boundaries.

@SolNataMD Of course I shut down my practice when COVID hit in March 2020. When I reopened last summer I only did so with HEPA filters and KN95/N95 for both my client and myself. And I refuse to see anyone exhibiting any symptoms whatsoever. No more "allergies" allowed

@DailyJLee We bought a battery pack to run the HEPA Mom takes with her to all of her appointments. The battery pack sits in the storage pouch of her rollator walker and her Levoit Core 300 rides on the seat blasting on high 😊 No one has ever even asked her what it is.
