Jfc @united , the air quality on this flight is horrifying and one, maybe two other people on this full flight of 170 people are wearing a mask. A reading like this means air is not circulating. CO2 itself at these levels are unhealthy, not to mention viruses being breathed out.

-265,000 in the US died from covid last year -we're undercounting infections, deaths, and long covid by A LOT I told him I'm a journalist and the public has been misinformed by the government for political reasons and the press has largely been an agent of those political lies.

If you feel shame, good. You should. But being ashamed of what you've done doesn't mean it's too late to change. Wear a mask. Educate yourself, then others. Report on policy solutions and the lack of them. Agitate for clean air in your communities. Use tests to prevent spread.

It has been almost three years since I directed Morning Edition and still, sometimes when I hear a good instrumental I check to see if it’s long enough for a deadroll or :58s break. Old habits die hard.

@RealGayArbys This is so real. I also think a LOT of people - deserved or not - felt like they already had a lot of hardship to deal with. And they wouldn’t accept another that the government insisted was optional. I don’t know what to make of that, really, though I still think it’s wrong.

lol a “community note” added to this post implies the reading is inaccurate because of altitude. THIS READING WAS BEFORE TAKEOFF ON THE GROUND IN CHICAGO, IL, which is notably flat.

Jfc @united , the air quality on this flight is horrifying and one, maybe two other people on this full flight of 170 people are wearing a mask. A reading like this means air is not circulating. CO2 itself at these levels are unhealthy, not to mention viruses being breathed out.
