This is interesting. In the US the culture has become for people to be open about their salaries, going so far as to share it on TikTok, in order to allow others to know what their own value is. If I tell someone how much I make, I end up on a “people to rob” list

Also, pay transparency aids in our low wages. Nobody (employers included) is open to share what they make so others can advocate for more.

@mangosapadilla @RemedyLovegood @imnickintl Hi there. Finance nerd here who recently went through the mortgage approval process. 60k/year can’t afford a 300k house. Even if they put 10% down, the max they can reasonably afford is just under 200k.
