My attending at clinic found out it was Eid yesterday and brought one of my favourite desi desserts so that I don’t miss home.
Gestures like these remind us of the warmth and kindness that make this journey worthwhile.

This is hands down one of the best advices I recently received for achieving a healthy work life balance in medicine.
Rotated in another academic center to explore my passion for hematology/oncology and loved every single second of it (including the daily three hour travel).
The hustle stings; but it stings less if you find meaning in what you do!
Didn’t predict the unexpected thunderstorm on our way to Boston but we finally made it to ACP! Met some old friends and made few new ones. Looking forward to all the excitement tomorrow !

A very thought provoking book about what actually matters in the long run. Highly recommended for everyone in healthcare!
Since I started residency, the correlation of ferritin with IDA in inflammatory settings has troubled me. It’s also interesting how giving IV iron may alter MRI imaging findings for upto 3 months! Thank you Dr

At the end of a family meeting, every time I hear patient/family say "Thank you" to me, the very person who gave them the worst news in their life, I think what matters is not the news we deliver, but the way we deliver it.
As a resident doctor, there are few compliments that hit harder than coming in to a shift and an attending/nurse/coworker/patient saying, “Oh thank God it’s you!”
