applicants, Please donโt get disheartened by others receiving an interview invitation. There is still plenty of time and many programs are still reviewing applications.

Never saw USMLE score in 280s before. You must be an exceptional candidate and great test taker. Best wishes for residency. Great score!
As
#Match2024
applicants are working on their
#ERAS
applications, I tried an
#AI
app to generate a sample personal statement for an
#IMG
from Pakistan.

Agree. ECFMG should decrease the cost of USMLE for IMGs from developing countries in order to accommodate for the international surcharge so that everyone pays equal (at least if not lower).
IMGs are usually from developing countries with less resources. Most of them have to use their life savings in order to pursue their journey to US residency programs. ECFMG should be keeping the fee the same as for AMGs if not lower at least.

Here is what ECFMG charges for USMLEs from IMGs.
I have made a comparison table of fee in USD. This is a perfect example of profiteering.
And definitely IMGs are far more rich so they afford this.
Please say after me - ECFMG is not friend of IMGs.

Agree. Same inverse relationship with hospital stay. Those who should stay in the hospital, want to go home asap; while those who donโt require inpatient care, donโt feel ready to go home yet.
@atscommunity
They are avoiding work related travel or unnecessary vacations. Asking everyone to stay local if they need them in the hospital. Keeping everyone informed with daily updates. Screening everyone at hospital doors for any risk factors or symptoms. Providing awareness.

I guess you are right. Once they fulfill needs of PPE for the hospitals & healthcare professionals, then they can provide supplies for the general public.

Good scenario. Type 2 AIP has Association with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (as in this case) and Chronic Pancreatitis. Type 1 AIP is associated with Sjogrens, PSC, Interstitial Nephritis & autoimmune Thyroiditis.

Completely agree. J1 visa should be for 3 years for the total duration of training so that IMG residents can feel free to visit their families. I have seen people spending most of their vacation arranging documents and visiting embassy for visa interviews.

Also interesting to know that they also changed the name from
#Clostridium
to
#Clostridioides
Difficile - meaning Clostridia Like and removed it from the actual genius of bacterium.
