i love how on septa regional rail, train operators are usually just dudes in sports t-shirts and jeans who look like they just got up off of their couch and walked right into the cab
pennsylvania is going to the moon, but philadelphians can't even get from center city to the northeast without transfers, dropped trips, and unbearably long headways
for the love of god, fund septa
Pennsylvania is going to the moon.
Our Commonwealth is leading the way, helping America get back to the moon while creating jobs and growing our economy. 🚀

BSL getting busy today! Someone on the platform at Cecil B. Moore told me that they're using the train instead of I-95 to get to the Phillies game because of the bridge collapse. We need more transit funding and service in Philadelphia!

I'll admit I didn't ride a unique section of this route, but for what it's worth, this route has very few unique sections. Most direct service from Roxborough to Center City, though.

I’m competitive as hell, and I want Pennsylvania to be a national leader in job creation, innovation, and economic development.
I won’t stop working until we get there.

add more service on Regional Rail and buses to give people and alterative travel option after the I-95 collapse this morning.
Just became possibly the first ever person to board the Route 17 at Broad St and Zinkoff Blvd. Driver almost passed me by and told me that he always just zooms past there in the left lane because no one has ever gotten on or off there in his entire career.

Just noticed that there's only two D40LF buses left operating. I assume they'll be gone soon, so could there potentially be an official retirement ceremony for them or something to mark the occasion of their retirement from the fleet? It'll be sad to see them go...

Read all about it here:
despite the odds, it seems nearly every morning and evening rush regional rail train is standing room only on the way into and out of the city. good to see, but these cars were not designed to handle metro-like crowds. we need more frequency and better designed railcars.
New of note is the Broad Street Line cars now being targeted for replacement by 2036. They were targeting 2041 as of when Connections 2050 was published by the DVRPC which was the pessimistic number SEPTA gave

@NJTRANSIT
