Hate to admit my very left wing friends are right on this, but Starmer's complete vanishing act on energy bills is just dreadful. The Libdems, Gordon Brown have plans out. Martin Lewis (!) is challenging Sunak and Truss - yet Starmer and the shadow cabinet are just invisible.

@PhillipsPOBrien US capacity is surprising even to closely allied militaries. There’s a great bit in Simon Akam’s book on the recent British military where British in ‘03 planned an op based on what the think US capacity is and are astonished when they find the claim of 24-7 air support is true

I love the restraint of this thread - “I’ve held off commenting because I’m not an expert on deep sees rescue, despite my extensive qualifications in sonar and service on subs”. Great contrast with all the guys with 200 hours played on world of warships giving out advice!

Working retail at Games Workshop, a mum came in, absolutely livid because her son, while attempting to build a model treebeard, had superglued himself to the linoleum kitchen floor and an ambulance crew had to cut him free.

This is a completely made up quote by a fabulist running some sort of weird long form anti brexit soap opera parody account, but literally thousands of people are being taken in by it
