Patients with diabetes and recent worsening heart failure were randomly assigned to receive sotagliflozin or placebo. At a median of 9 months, the number of deaths from cardiovascular causes, hospitalizations, and urgent visits were lower with sotagliflozin.

showing that in low risk older patients, TAVR valve durability may not impact longevity, most patients die before reintervention. A different story in younger low risk patients who live longer- durability becomes key.
