15 years ago there was a guy in my prison group. Previously sexually abused in care system. Drugs were a huge problem for him. He tried to get recovery - was in & out of prison. Last night he called me. 2.5 years clean. Made my day 😊 #recoveryworks

Spent this afternoon with Vishu Mehrotra, father of Vishal who went missing on Royal Wedding day 1981 from Putney. Half of his torso found 6 months later in Alders Copse, Rogate, Sussex. I was on this case when he went missing nearly 40 years ago.

Happy 2022. Thought I’d share a pic of my Mum, she has been a foster carer for 30 years! 30 Xmases & New Years, cared for 100s of children - mostly teenagers - 7 days a week for 24 hours a day for 30 years, my hero @BpoolCouncil & gives a lifetime of love for all.

Driven to London, chatting with the driver, who came to UK from Bangladesh. Applied for a scholarship to Winchester College for his son and got in. Son now applying for medical school. 2nd son also going to WC. What a beautiful story. Made my day.

I wasn’t going to watch The Long Shadow on @ITV but I’m glad I did. The focus throughout is on the women victims, their families, friends and the women police. It is superb & highlights the errors of the narrow minded SIO who made it about him and the hoaxer.

This is a huge problem 👇. Not the officers fault of course. These ‘detectives’ have less than 2 years service so still in training plus carrying a huge workload. Sergeants increasingly less experienced… ⁦ @Casey_Review ⁩ Shocking 🤷‍♀️
