Status report: Surgery went very well. Initial physical examination of the lump, per my Surgeon, did *not* present to be an atypical cancerous growth. Pathology results due in ~1 week. Thanks for the well- wishes & prayers - they definitely helped!

Good news, I guess... I've been released from the ER. Nothing conclusive on the CT scan that would have caused the pain, like Appendicitis. The rest of the test results won't be ready for 48hrs. BRAT (bananas, rice, apples, toast) diet for 48hrs. Could be worse🙏

Ok - here we go with some more fun news... If you'll remember, I mentioned that I was scheduled to have a biopsy last week. Well, we got the news we didn't want. 50% chance of malignancy in upper right Thyroid. So, I have an Oncologist/Endocrinologist appt. this week. 😟🙏?

Post-op recovery day No. 3: Oddly, I found things a bit more painful today than yesterday, both at the incision and underneath, along with moving my neck. I removed the cover-bandage today and things underneath look excellent, but still painful. Missed Sacrament Meeting.

Update: Good news! The surgery was a complete success and he's doing well and in his own room. A little grumpy & groggy from the Anesthesia, but that's to be expected, of course. He'll be spending the night here. Thanks again for the prayers and kind thoughts. Love you guys!

I want to start today by thanking everyone who offered prayers & thoughts of support during my Cancer & Surgery episode. Yesterday, the Pathology report came back: Positive for Carcinoma on the removed section. Negative for other tissues. Negative for Lymphatic samples.

UPDATE: Just met with the doctor in charge - amazingly, the only injury was to one of the connecting bones to his Sternum at the top of the Sternum. He's in pain from the seat belt and airbags, but ambulatory. Doctors are amazed that he wasn't hurt more seriously. God's hand!

2/2 A biopsy was done last week which showed the nodules to be malignantly Cancerous. The Cancer has not metastasized, so tomorrow morning at 6:00am PDT they will be removing his Thyroid. Please keep Jason and us in your prayers. Thanks & goodnight!

Today was a difficult Sunday. Since last week was General Conference, and the previous week was Stake Conference, this was the first Sunday that we had both families involved in the crash last month in attendance @ Church. Today's Sunday School lesson was perfectly suited.

2/2 Our family experienced what can only be described as a miracle through Priesthood Anointing and Blessing with what was then our 4-hour old son who nearly died at the hospital from an adverse reaction to Morphine from emergency abdominal surgery from Cystic Fibrosis.
