Your love of tea and flowers is endearing. Your slang is delightful, innit? You have produced some of my favorite people, from Jane Austen to Morrissey to Johnny Lydon. Binge-watching the Great British Baking Show has saved my life in dark times.

Yes it is. So good. Mike Myers best, with great performances by the rest of the cast. Also, controversial opinion but the original version of "There She Goes" by the La's is worlds better than the cover by Sixpence None the Richer.

If you want to know how I feel, I'll be happy to produce a song. Today it's Alice in Chains: "I'm the man in the box/buried in my shit. . ." Yesterday it was "Funky Cold Medina."

I love both iterations of English. We have such charming differences & colloquialisms on both sides of the pond. In England, you get to use the all-purpose "in it" nowadays and change your baby's nappies. Here, you can have your coffee refilled by a waitress who calls you hun.
Still one of my favorite images - captured a few years ago using a 110mm macro lens. I’ve always liked the depth in this one.
This was a pretty simple discovery while hiking through the woods on a closed forest service road near Telluride.
I have to take 30 selfies before I get one I like. I often look stoned or insane in pics, or wizened with age. Or my eyes are closed. Here's a reject, but I like it because it captures my actual smile.
For centuries, estates in Europe had garden hermits, men who were paid to stay on site and live as a recluse on estate land, living in anything from a hut to a chapel. These garden hermits were for novelty but also provided advice.

This isn't kids acting out. It's an entire population, including firefighters and seniors, protesting against Macron, globalism and austerities draining the quality of life.

Of course. He's a better singer than anyone. However, Axl Rose's voice is amazing. And there are many astronomically talented musicians who don't have conventionally beautiful voices. Let's try a few: Neil Young, Tom Petty, Billie Holiday. Impact, not perfection.
I adore it when someone from the UK says they're rubbish at some activity. You have no idea, friends across the pond, how exotic your colloquialisms are to Americans. It's novel. It's friendly. It's cute. It's fun. I'm gonna try it.

I like grape soda. Is that weird, considering my complexion? Also, have I underestimated the musical talent of Luther Vandross? If so, please set me straight.
One thing I miss about so cal is how citrus grows so easily. My grandmother & her sisters and brother grew up in Covina back when nearly everyone had orange groves. They'd go out and light smudge pots on frosty nights.
Eeyore stood by himself and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, “Why?” and sometimes he didn’t know what he was thinking. So when Pooh came stumping along, Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little. ~A.A.Milne

I've been binge-watching "Anne With an E" with Spanish audio, y te lo prometo, it's a good show and a great way to aprender el español. ¡En facto, I've begun thinking in Spanish! It's emotionally charged, so I've been shedding muchos lagrimas.

The fear in that girls voice .. thank god for that woman.. who potentially risked her own life to save this 14 yr old girl from being raped.
She should get a medal 🥇
I hate the world we live in !!
I understand why people got MRNA-vaxxed. It was a scary time made scarier by people in charge & on TV. We lost a family member due to Covid, likely due to hospital protocol, but there's been more relatives affected by clots, strokes and heart problems.
2 years ago I was banned for life from Meta (Facebook & Insta). I posted political content but more often poetry, musings & music. I lost an audience. I lost touch with school pals & family. I felt targeted, paranoid & deprived of freedom of speech.

I've got an elevator pitch for a project I've got brewing, working title The A-Frame Girls™ Hear me out. "Three generations of women healing ancestral trauma. Together." I haven't decided if it's a chick flick or a date movie.
I self-diagnosed myself as being "on the spectrum" yesterday. I was buying a squeeze packet of banana-mango baby food at the grocery store. The checkout girl asked if I wanted a bag, to which I replied, 'It's for my lizard.'

I've been reading funny Twitter and now all my epiphanies are bad puns. I migrated over the Bering Strait. By the time I reached the Americas, I realized I was gay.
Human hands glow, but fingernails release the most light, according to a recent study that found all parts of the hand emit detectable levels of light.
Another mainstream media outlet on the wrong side of history. Free speech is craved by free minds. The best remedy for disinformation/misinformation is discernment. Discernment comes from reading, or watching videos, widely & freely. Life is oxymoronic & counter-intuitive.
The plum pudding was banned in England by Oliver Cromwell in 1647, along with all other Christmas festivities, as being wicked & pagan when it was flamed. The rest of Christmas was reinstated in 1660 by Charles II, but the pudding wasn’t revived until 1714.
