I'm caring for the shotgun shot buzzard from Shipton by Beningbrough. He has a fractured wing which is splinted and was knuckling on the shot foot. I have had 3 birds of prey here suffering from illegal persecution in the last week. No one is watching so its ramped up.I dispair.

He had a spirit , a wildness, a no surrender.
Shotgun shot , blown from the sky, downed.
He came my way with a story to tell, wounded and defiant. We tried and longed to mend him.

This is the reality of badger digging. Its taken 2 years 4 months to get a verdict. They are now convicted of interfering with a badger sett with a paltry fine to go with it. I despair. See someone with terriers/spades RING IT IN to police, its always barbaric.
