Playing an integral part in enabling people & business growth by matching the very best talent to the very best roles | Christian | Thrill Seeker | Isaiah 50:4
Good things happen to, and for me.
Great opportunities come to me easily & effortlessly.
I have the grace & strength to give my best to & get the best out of every opportunity I get.
I have the spirit of excellence & life gives her best to me.
Everywhere I go, I find favour.
I don’t know how some of our parents did it. Paying fees for 3-4 kids simultaneously about 2-3 times in a year, and still catering to other needs & fraudulent requests.
I’m not there yet, and even with what I earn - I fit don run comot for house. 😂😂😂
Good sir

The CBN has requested commercial banks to possibly extend employee working beyond the standard 40 hours per week.
What’s your office doing to ensure employees are adequately compensated for working overtime?
Silence is NOT golden when;
Your performance is being discussed.
Someone is taking credit for your work.
Someone is making inappropriate or hostile remarks about you/others.
Unethical acts are being perpetrated.
Remove yourself from mute, be tactful, thoughtful & Speak out.

I know that there is a lot of anxiety about Kenyans still in Sudan. It is our firm commitment to evacuate every one that has registered for evacuation. Please be patient: we are operating in a very fluid situation requiring lots of pivoting.

Love this for her, but not sure this should be made mainstream.
There are many patriarchal men out there that will take this as a reason to bully or harass their wives, using this a standard or excuse to carry out their own intentions. It is well I guess.
A road project previously awarded at N67B by Ajimobi was reevaluated to N11B by Gov. Makinde for construction of a 32km road, as the previous allocation was a rip-off on the State.
Unintelligent headline.
It's good to optimise your LinkedIn, update and review your CV and the stuff we all advise...
But the biggest hack is to be so good in your industry, that even senior professionals know you for what you do & are good at - and want to work with you.
Build credibility!
HR Guy's CV: "Designed and executed an employee engagement initiatives that fostered collaboration & retention with a leading Fintech firm"
What really happened: Shared smalls chop and coke, every last Friday of the month.
It’s so commercial and vain. Most normal men prefer small intimate weddings, and not being centre of attention - which is often the opposite (the thought is not exciting).
Men presumably think more about the marriage (commitment) than the wedding (event).
Female career professionals...
You don’t owe anyone humility when talking about your strides & achievements. Own them, and take pride in your results.
If it was easy, everyone would have been able to do it. Be graceful, but don’t let the need to be humble make you undersell.
Impostor syndrome is often for people that are good at their craft though, just uncertain about their proficiency.
If you’re not good at your craft, it’s called incompetent.
Deloitte fired an Associate Director for sharing a “inspirational” post on LinkedIn that suggested that professionals could learn from Hitler’s traits as a “charismatic visionary” & “massive action taker.”
There’s no more line between our professional life & social media use.
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

My biggest win of Q1 was starting a new role in the UK as a Technology Recruitment Consultant.
I just don’t oversee recruitment, I also provide advisory on best-fit assessment methods considering language, skills & technologies.
Also learning coding for code screening.
I just randomly remembered, that one unfortunate person on Twitter said Kemi Adeosun was better than NOI.
May God forgive the person, and bless them with wisdom - so they don't pass that skoin skoin to their children if they haven't already.
Today, I want to celebrate the "little wins".
In the past week;
-Received invite as a panelist at a top Business School
-Got recognized by my Alma Mater
-Got a call to collaborate from a Senior citizen I've admired for over 10 years
Just keep doing your thing & be yourself.
Exactly one year ago, I was involved in a car crash.
A drunk driver drove one-way while speeding, and crashed into the car I was driving.
Grateful that God kept me. ❤️
As you apply for jobs this week - don't let it be about applying quickly but applying smartly.
Job application isn't a first come, first serve; but often best fit.
Learn to study job roles & identify key requirements of each job. Align these with your profile before applying.
Please avoid including your referee details on your CV.
You're exposing their information (name, employer/business, email, phone contact) to the whole world, which includes fraudsters.
Any reputable coy that needs your referee details will request.
I wrote an exam yesterday, and I've never so anxious about an exam since WAEC. Lol
The thing wan hard small.
Gratefully, I passed.
Man is now a Globally Certified Talent Management Practitioner.
One of the things I’ve seen abused in the workplace today is “Open communication”.
So many organisations preaching it, but nothing open about leadership’s communication.
Don’t encourage employees to speak up if you’re not ready to listen, empathise & act.
LASG had a potential poster girl to change the narrative on their foolish bigotry - in that train pilot.
PR for hiring competent people, no matter the age, gender, tribe or party affiliation.
But the brainless jersey-merchant aide of the Governor could only conjure foolishness.
If you know the person that drove a Toyota Corolla Sport with number plate FKY 986EM on Eko Bridge this evening.
Please let him know he's part of the problems in Nigeria, with his consistent littering on the road; emptying dirts from inside his car on the road.
If you're interested in starting a career in Human Resources or in HR already, one of the key concepts you need to understand is Job Analysis.
I will do a thread later today at 8pm on what a Job Analysis is, how to conduct a Job Analysis.

A buddy lost his job due to mass layoffs w/ 1 of the big techs & his life has been a living hell at home - because his partner is now shouldering some responsibilities he used to.
Discuss finances, financial habits & ideologies before marrying a person. Cc
@olasxni
Sometime last year when I applied for a role & they sent an automated rejection email a few days later.
1 week after, their Talent Acquisition Lead sent me a LinkedIn message - headhunting for same role.
Rejection sometimes isn’t about you, but some flawed selection systems.
I'll have a touch of wife on everything I consider personal when I get married.

I must be seeing that beauty everywhere, even when I'm pissed with her - I must be remembering that I love her regardsless.
If we were friends & you noticed I've blocked you or we don't follow each mutually, please don't message me.
It's because I saw that we don't totally have aligning values & I respect that.
I will never condone rape or be friends with rape apologists.
As a final year student studying Biochemistry, I told myself I wanted to be a top HR professional in Nigeria in 10 years.
5 years after, I got recognised as a top 10 HR professional in Nigeria alongside some of the finest in Nigeria. OK, let me restructure and aim for the World.
If you don't ask, you don't get.
Send that cold email.
Apply for the scholarship.
Ask for that pay raise.
Go for that opportunity.
Send that job application.
Message that person you admire.
Life will only give you what you demand!
Just do it!
When changing/getting a job, look beyond the money...
Work where you won't be micromanaged, where you'd be allowed to contribute & also recognised for your contribution, where you'd be given responsibilities that aid your learning & personal growth, where you'd be respected.
Finally, I’ll defend HR. 👀
As we can see, the HR philosophy of most organisations is dependent on the leadership of such organisation.
While it’s important that HR stand for what’s right & fair, we should also remember that “HR” is an employee that can be fired. 😬
If you consider yourself ambitious; staying at a job for long, without any evident career progression - in responsibility, grade level or job position is a disservice to yourself.
Leave any job or organisation that you add value at, and doesn't offer career progression.
You’re not supposed to know everything.
So don’t beat urself up b/c you aren’t sure where you’re headed, what to do, or who you are.
We’re all searching, learning, discovering who & where & what we’re meant to be.
Take it easy with urself, it's OK not to have all the answers.
It takes 5 things to be successful in your career;
1. Self-confidence
2. Positive Personal Impact
3. Outstanding Performance
4. Dynamic Communication Skills
5. Interpersonal Competence
However, what is most essential is to take personal responsibilty for your life.
Reconnected with a contact I coached to get a job in 2015, free of charge.
He's now HR Manager w/ a Fortune 500. He was both excited to connect & said if I'm willing to relocate to the US - he has a job for me.
Always leave good behind.
Lesson learnt from my robbery experience:
1. Always lock/autolock your phone
2. Always delete bank texts
3. Never have your emails that receive bank notifications on your phone
4. Stop using Bank USSD
5. Always lock your phone and apps
6. Promptly block your line
Sigh!
When God is for you, things will happen for you - effortlessly!
My company had paid for me to attend an International HR conference worth over $1,600 and I was eager to just attend & learn.
Behold, I received organiser's email to participate as a Facilitator.
This God!
2 Years after, and I have been recognised in that time: thrice - as a top 150 HR influencer across the World. All thanks to God for grace and strength.
As a final year student studying Biochemistry, I told myself I wanted to be a top HR professional in Nigeria in 10 years.
5 years after, I got recognised as a top 10 HR professional in Nigeria alongside some of the finest in Nigeria. OK, let me restructure and aim for the World.
Life constantly presents us with opportunities but staying alive to make beautiful deeds of it, all depends on God.
Thank You Lord, for this chance to witness another birthday.

The statement was inappropriate for the setting, however the candidate was probably trying to build rapport. As a professional, you could have educated him on why it's inappropriate & not make it a gender label - your last statement is also discriminatory for an interviewer.
One thing I've come to learn is that, if you're a family-oriented person; the most important career decision you can make is WHO YOU MARRY.
Not just the sacrifices, but how your spouse sees your aspirations can change a lot of things.
Please marry the RIGHT person.
This year, I've lost interest in meeting people. I've lost interest in being the one to always check on people. I've lost interest in trying to be right with people. I've lost interest in human interactions generally.
But what I've found, is inner peace and satisfaction.
Nigeria is actually a place that exist.
Where bandits negotiate with the State and are pardoned immediately they can submit their weapons for photo ops.
But a citizen will be arrested, oppressed, harassed for expressing their right to protest.
Oh, they called it democracy.
CAREER TIP OF THE DAY
Make A Move
Take responsibility for your career growth.
Don't waste time hoping for the best, or waiting to be noticed that you're doing quality work to be promoted.
Chart a career path, take steps in line with this - get a new job if you have to.
My advise to young professionals on mentors;
1. Find mentors that have your genuine interest at heart.
2. Learn to identify with their strengths & valid principles.
3. Don't turn yourself into them, learn to still be yourself.
4. Be so good, they can't ignore you.
Research from the Medical Institute for sexual health illustrate the importance of oxytocin when it comes to pair bonding. Casual sex leads to a decrease in this neurochemical production & interferes with further pair bonding. Repeated sexual encounters with multiple partners…
1. Before you learn a skill, figure out if it's a hard or soft skill - as they require different level of practice & learning.
Hard skills require consistency & precision - and often specialised.
Soft skills require identifying patterns and making right & timely choices.
I remember in 2015 when I was recruiting Country Manager for a MNC.
I was earning 62,478 NAIRA monthly, and recruiting candidates that earned & were negotiating ~ N80-100 million PA.
That experience changed my life WRT what's possible in the workplace.
I go make am. Lol.
All things work together for my good. Everywhere (Nigeria & any part of the World) I go, I enjoy God's presence & manifestation of His presence.
Nigeria gives her best to me. The land is green for me & my harvest is bountiful. The spirit of excellence from God is upon my life.
Worked with a firm for 3 months.
I resigned after the MD sent me a query me for not agreeing to fire the BA, in order replace her with his wife's sister (wasn't a job fit) who lost her job.
Be able to own your truth & stand for it anyday - but never cower to oppression.
Stop before you get exhausted.
It's common for young people to work till exhaustion/burnout. This might look like hard work but it leads to mental & physical fatigue.
Fatigue triggers errors, lessens concentration & leads to shortcuts that create bad habits.
Pause & Rest!
As a career oriented person, ensure to marry a person that respects, can comprehend and value your aspirations.
Be sure that they can see you as flawed as you are, and still not berate you and your dreams.
One’s choice of partner is an important career decision.
CAREER TIP OF THE DAY
Manage your Emotions
It's OK to have emotional moments. However, manage your emotions so you don't get into frequent outbursts.
Failing to control emotions can have a negative impact on your career. Step back, breathe & cool down before addressing issues
Testimony time.
I was working on the presentation for a session last night. Finished the outline at 50 slides & got a nudging from the Holy Spirit to save as PDF.
Woke up this morning to realise PPT crashed & slide was gone. Thank you sweet Holy Spirit for the Expo.
Today makes it 2 years I joined
@Sterling_Bankng
, and I'm super grateful for the immense opportunities to learn & grow this incredible institution has offered me.
It's been amazing leaving work for home every other day, without leaving my heart at home because I love it here!
Stop seeing certifications as only an employment edge.
A certification is primarily a validation of your expertise in a field - and not just an ability to pass exams.
Don't just do it for the sake of your CV, do it more because of the "new" knowledge it provides you with.
2 years ago... I took a day off work!
I left Lagos for Ibadan to give someone a surprise valentine, and it was amazing!
I am grateful I "experienced" that romantic side of myself. The person was also well deserving & meant a lot.
Please avoid using words like "feel", "could", "might", "think" to describe your opinion on relevant matters in the workplace - it weakens your point.
Learn powerful and active words that give strength and validity to your opinion.
Learn to keep a daily performance journal.
Take note of your activities & plans. What matters is not the precise form, but that you write stuff down & reflect on it.
Results from today.
Ideas for tomorrow.
Goals for next week.
This works like a map; guiding & creating clarity.
There's no expiry date to your dreams.
Don't be under pressure to match up with anyone. Don't live a life subject to other people's expectations of you.
Keep working & walking in the direction of your dreams. Life will yield to you, cuz you're inevitable!
Stop existing, live!
CAREER TIP OF THE DAY
Be famous for something.
Be recognized for your unique skills & expertise. It could be an area of study, industry or what you are passionate.
But whatever that something is, it must be relevant & make a positive impact with colleagues or in the workplace.
Someone asked me for a loan earlier today, I said I don't have to offer. She said "and you'll be wearing suit". LMAO!
It took me a while to learn how to say NO, and stand by it (apart from recruiting).
I have grown, and I'm still going to say more NOs.
One thing I've learnt isn't to have friends in quantity, but in quality.
Friends who you can count on to be there for you - in acts, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually.
Friends that love, understand & forgive. Grateful for friends I can call brothers and sisters.
If you're planning to write the GMAT & interested in joining a study group.
I will share my paid online study materials w/ members of the group. It will be blended learning for 3 months.
Open to 10 people in Lagos & it's FREE. (PS: membership is discretional).
I'll always believe the Nigerian Government is complicit in the BH insurgence.
If CNN could trace the bullets to Serbia, then with the resources available - FG should be able to trace arms & bullets recovered from BH and cut their supply progressively.
It's not rocket science.
Lol. Guys!
I've had a very good laugh on this tweet. It's pleasant to know we all made
@_yewandeee
's birthday exciting & memorable.
Please feel free to follow me for tweets on HR, personal & professional development, and general life humoured. Cheers!
There's a very high chance a person's behaviour and attitude will ruin their career than their incompetence will.
More people have lost their jobs and opportunities because of a poor attitude or bad behaviour than lack of the ability to do it.
Attitude is everything. Selah.
Got a rejection email from a program I applied to a while back; a friend told me it was their loss. Lol
In retrospect, it might not have been their loss. They most likely got people that are also as amazing & doing incredible work in their domains.
More work to do!
I had an incredible evening listening to and learning from
@pastorpoju
at The Single Men's Summit
@CovenantCCentre
.
Key note taken:
1. Spiritual Compatibility is key in marriage
2. It is very important to work and be productive
3. Be ready to change, learn and grow in marriage
Whenever anyone refers you for an opportunity - be it a job or business.
The best you can do for them is to give it your best and make the best use of the opportunity. Note that you're not only representing yourself - but also the person that referred you.
CAREER TIP OF THE DAY
Know What it Takes.
At each level of management, different things are managed:
Junior Level: Processes
Mid - Level: People
Senior - Level: Profit
As you advance up the cadre, know the competencies & knowledge required to progress to next level.
CAREER TIP OF THE DAY
Your Boss Matters Too.
Having a good Boss is important for one's career success.
When taking a job, meet your prospective Boss.
Find a Boss that values your talent, understands your passion, respects your values & can take a chance on you when necessary.
