They’ll have updated that by now:
It is the year 2040 and you don’t have a place to sleep tonight as you’ve been kicked out of Downing Street. Outline how you would get some party donor to find you a mansion and what you would be prepared to promise him in return.
Isn’t it lovely to hear people from the private school sector expressing concern for the state schools that might become overcrowded and under-resourced ?

Wishing The Secretary of State for Education a productive weekend scratching around for ideas on the Summer catch up. May I suggest that school leaders notify him of suggestions at 5.05pm today or just after midnight on Saturday and Sunday. It’s the new way to get things done.
Good morning all. If you work in a school set your alarm for the end of the afternoon and go home on time. Thank you for all that you have done this week that people outside of your community will never understand.
It is with great sadness that I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as Minister for Immigration.
I cannot continue in my position when I have such strong disagreements with the direction of the Government’s policy on immigration.
Here’s to all our school leaders, teachers and governors who’ve been on the go for days on end . Put your feet up at the end of today , have a cuppa but be careful who you party with . You’ve forgotten more about running schools than this lot will ever know .

The government can throw toys from the pram on a weekly basis in their attempts to demonise unionised school staff but this is where you should come for balanced, consistent comment 👇🏽.
@NEUnion
have been doing this for months on behalf of children and adults .
Today’s React 1 COVID survey results make the strongest case for a phased re-opening of schools to full pupil intakes. A ‘big bang’ reopening on 8th March, with the current high rates of infection and hospitalisation, would jeopardise full and sustained school reopening.
What a joy to wake up to: Jonathan Gullis bring drowned out by supporters of other parties cheering results, speeding up his unintelligible answers to a blur : small boats … Jeremy Corbyn or something …

Chill out you two! This is a perfectly pitched performance from adults working in a school. The students will enjoy the clumsiness of unlearned lyrics as they’re on the wrong side of ‘cool’. Too polished won’t cut it.

Oh yes: telling the lead inspector that the socio-economic data on the school was, in fact, that of another school miles away and that the person he’d ignored on the way in was the third member of his team. I introduced them to each other . 2-0 up after ten minutes ...
Teachers Today is the anniversary of David Cameron off-rolling Michael Gove in 2014. Yesterday was the anniversary of Theresa May doing the same in 2016. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? So, as you reach the end of term remember the delight that memory brings.

When I visited Sachsenhausen Concentration camp my eyes were continually drawn to the dwellings on the other side of its walls, wondering what the residents of Oranienburg had been told or believed was going on. Today I wonder what Portland residents know about this.👇🏽Journalism

You taught my class at Benthal Junior School in Hackney circa.1986 - the day you found time to write The Michael Rosen Rap during break time- and some of the children’s poetry ended up in anthology alongside recognised poets. Was privileged to be your apprentice .
So, those of you handing back paintings, sculpture and other artistic endeavours to your EYFS, KS1 and 2 children before the end of term: reflect on this - an Antony Gormley (aged 50 when he did this) I saw in a gallery today 👀…
Oh my goodness! How refreshing to find a thread from someone adjacent to,but not immersed in, the school system with so much insight, much more insight than ministers. Each tweet below is a senior leaders / governors discussion item on a plate. 👇🏽
Absenteeism will be THE topic for school leadership this academic year and the place to look for some answers is disaster recovery literature. When you are meeting to discuss it this week - few of your pre 2019 strategies will work anymore. Some thoughts on what might:
