As a Tesla investor I would like to thank @RBReich and @BernieSanders for making sure @elonmusk doesn’t become too rich. The $200B in market cap losses from all investors is unquestionably worth the $15B in tax rev. I’m certain the government will spend it wisely.

@taradublinrocks You act as this was a failure? This was 2x the thrust of the most powerful rocket ever, Full flow engines, Methalox propellant, designed for rapid reusability as well as many other firsts. Virtually every new class of rocket explodes just like Falcon series.

@engineers_feed Yes, if you put a skate board on a treadmill you can still push it forward from the back. The thrust of the engines is pushing air not turning the wheels like a car. A conveyor belt could not apply a backwards force assuming zero friction.

@ninaturner Reminder: Winning government contracts as the lowest bidder is not subsidies. More importantly, this was expected and a significant success. They are implementing tons of innovations and industry firsts. Almost all new rocket classes explode at first like the Flacon series.
