@misingnoglic @clapifyoulikeme @tashakaminsky The trick is that in many states, like mine (Texas), if you strike as a teacher you can permanently lose your teacher certification. So we would have to have a critical mass of us striking in a given state, with the community supporting us, to not pay the penalty.

@girlziplocked All of us teachers keep shaking our heads. Dress codes (which I think are BS) can't even work, so what makes admins think that much more invasive rules will be followed?!? These are kids (even the teens I teach), plus even adults can't seem to do what's right during COVID.

@fortesalatifi This was my exact experience. Since I was a little girl, I thought I was inherently bad. Really internalized it. Other trauma along the way had reinforced that feeling. Then my diagnosis/therapy helped me understand that what happened to me wasn't because of who I am as a person.
