Reagan had few problems to convince Phil Gramm or Richard Shelby to vote for more military and many other conservative preferences. Gramm and Shelby even became Republicans later.

@mehdirhasan @arnehoffmann There are many differences though: - Ukraine didn't attack Russia - Ukraine didn't commit thousand war crimes on first day - Hamas isn't evacuating a front city, Israel can and has put a siege on it. Israel can shoot Hamas to pieces but must first allow civilians to evacuate. Go.
