Good to see @transportgovuk launch new statutory guidance for councils on LTNs today, as a means of preventing councils such as @lambeth_council getting into predicament of "having to reverse poorly-implemented or locally unpopular schemes" such as SW LTN

Streatham Hill's Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) goes live tomo, Sat 15 It's being introduced as a "temporary measure" under @lambeth_council 's emergency transport programme, but may become permanent subject to further consultation Any knock-on impacts will be closely monitored

Indeed, @SuptAndyCox . Whilst anticipating post-lockdown changes to travel habits in L'dn, please request @MPSRTPC to prioritise enforcement of speed limits on Streatham High Road right now. Sadly this stretch of road continues to remain an incident hotspot even during lockdown.

We must recognise a change in travel habits anticipated post lockdown. We will do all we can with our partners, to support ‘Safe travel for all’. Vulnerable road users need a social distance too. 24/7 we focus enforcement on priority roads across #London including 20-40mph zones.
