Removing your licence plates to avoid LTN cameras is a driving offence. This car was spotted by a resident this morning just after Valley Rd South filter. Pls do report any such incidents to the police so they can investigate.

Lambeth Council has always made clear it doesn't tolerate vandalism. For those who do it (or condone it) also v self-defeating: more Council time & money spent dealing with it, not on other things they might actually want. And elsewhere hasn't changed Council's approach to LTNs.

Picked up my phone to another foul-mouthed rant from a driver who lives well outside Streatham area who sees it as his birthright to drive thru whatever roads he wants to save a few mins, and sod anyone else. I get people's frustrations with certain impacts of LTN, but not that.

Cars have their place. But prioritising cars is direct threat to children's lives & all our health. PM's plans will result in more kids being hurt & killed; more cases of ill-health due to physical inactivity & air pollution; & further disadvantaging those who can't afford a car

@JamesCleverly @steve_hawkes Union money willing comes from 100,000s of people vs the handful of hedge funders & betting moguls who give Tories many more £millions

Best campaign wins may b ones u least expect. My @CRUK_Policy colleagues & I already stoked re: trailed announcement in PM's speech to raise the age of sale of tobacco. But securing funding increases to help people quit & 4 enforcement = big bonus! More:

1/ Fantastic news that @10DowningStreet has proposed raising the age of sale of tobacco, and announced new funding for tobacco control. We’ve been campaigning for this as part of our #SmokefreeUK campaign. More from @Michelle_CRUK 👇

Asked Council to address potential drainage issues with new parklets that have recently been installed on Valley Road. Council contractors will now install drainage inlets to prevent structures blocking water from draining + mesh to stop leaf fall getting trapped. #Streatham

Found myself on Clapham Common. Hard to find right words to explain it all to my 5yr old son; esp 'what some men do' vs all us boys'/men's responsibility to act in ways that don't scare or disrespect women. Couldn't answer his "why was #SarahEverard killed?" #ReclaimTheseStreets

Hooray! It's official. 2 Streatham projects successful in getting #GrowBackGreener funding. Creation of a new Nature Garden on Sunnyhill Rd (a collab between residents, @SunnyhillSW16 , @sccoopstreatham , @lambeth_council ). And a ponds project on Streatham Common itself.

. @MayorofLondon has announced the 34 community projects which will be receiving grants through his #GrowBackGreener fund. 90% of projects will be in areas where Londoners are less likely to have access to green space and a third will be BAME led including @NatureVibezzz .

Poignant end to my councillor surgery today at Streatham Library. Stopped at this plaque. 10 years tomorrow since Mark Bennett left us. A friend to many, and passionate champion of both Streatham and Lambeth. May his memory be a blessing.

I'm appreciative of all feedback residents have already sent on ways Streatham Wells LTN filter signage & markings could be improved. As well as passing these up to Council, I was out this eve inspecting some myself. Some good; some less so. Plenty for Council to consider & do.

I'm a Labour cllr in Lambeth who is Jewish & a longstanding Lab Friends of Palestine & ME activist. This summer I experienced antisemitism online directed at me, coming from the (far) left. Angry at Jewish Voice from Labour delegation here trying to deny problem & weaken action.

Excited to see we have a new restaurant open on Streatham High Road. Shrimp Shack. Seafood & more. Soft launch just started. Find it on parade between Leigham Av & Gracefield Gardens. Also popped into Trio Pizzeria next door & chatted to lovely guy who runs it.

7hrs+ in and I have finally reached the head of the Victoria Tower Gardens 'snake'. Not tall enough to take a proper looking back shot, but believe me, I've spent over 4hrs in that park. Have been told we now on the home stretch towards security. #TheQueue #QueueForTheQueen

I’m backing @JenniferBrathwa to be our next Streatham MP. She has the proven skills to win, to effectively champion bold social justice, environmental and pro-Remain policies, and to bring our community and our local party together. #Jenny4Streatham

Historic campaign win today: @DHSCgovuk confirming curbs on junk food price & location promotions. I started campaigning on #junkfreecheckouts 9yrs ago @childrensfood . Following in footsteps of @christineehaigh , @Gaia_Nutrition , Iona Lidington et al. Long road to policy change!
