I wish I had recorded @thirumaofficial 's first public lecture at SOAS and on the UK/EU academic campus: I organised it with support from David Mosse. He painfully detailed his everyday life political commitment that costs his well-being and physical health. Very distinctive.

In any other nation, this would be BREAKING news. In Hindia, the establishment buries this news as excavation has so far revealed the site to be secular in nature, without any reference to Hindu gods. To recognise Keezhadi would be to question pan Hindu Indianness.

Did Ambedkar, a renowned scholar, publish in peer reviewed journals? I know EVR, the radicalist, didn't. An academic is a paid professional intellectual [Edward Said pl], often aided by convoluted capitalist and state arrangements should know their views need not be credible.

Caste based discriminations have absorbed cultural and celebratory forms in global context. In racial politics this is often derided or has the scope to do so but culturalised-caste practices enable Hindu religion to be perpetually violent, intolerant & discriminatory.

@Kamal_t Not upper caste. Either "Uppered" or dominant caste. In Tamil it has always been a passive voice. Solidarity is best acknowledged when anticase sensitivity is rightly articulated. Oppressed caste groups choose their allies and not you.

Bhim Army Party is weighing heavily in favour of the narrative that there's Caste discrimination at Google with @BhimArmyChief and other related handles Tweeting about it. That makes me bit suspicious. I am not saying there can't be discrimination but really need more facts.
