The United States has a functional illiteracy rate of 20% and it's not improving. To be free you must be able to read, understand and express yourself. 1 in 6 Canadians are now functionally illiterate. This needs to change, unschooling and under funding schools is not the way.

I'm an ICU nurse and i'm not coping well at the moment. There are too many bad things piling up at once and it's just too much. My manager is not helping, nor is any admin. I feel like I've been left to fend for myself in an environment where we are supposed to help each other.
