Jon Jay did exactly what the Royals needed him to do. Played solid defense. Played consistent at the plate. And played at a high enough level to be flipped. Royals got the 26th ranked prospect in Arizona’s system and a potential bullpen arm starting in AA. Thank you Jon Jay!

In quiet news as well, Paulo Orlando signed a minor league deal with the LA Dodgers. This now puts the Royals at just 4 players (Perez, Gordon, Duffy, Mondesi) from the 2015 World Series team still with the Royals. It’s crazy how much can change in a short 3-4 year span!
