Hi. I'm Jeremy. I'm grateful that my work on
@allontheboard
has brought me so many opportunities to attend premieres, meet great artists and celebrate cinema. I want to share my love of cinema and review art with positive language. I hope you will join me in doing the same. 📽️❤️
Joker Folie a Deux is a movie like no other. The narrative risk taken by all involved has resulted in the kind of film that not only demands and holds attention, but as with its predecessor, asks questions of the audience every step of the way...

The worst thing about franchise filmmaking now is exactly this.. obsession with connecting to some "bigger" story that ultimately doesn't really give us anything more than brilliant self contained stories can. We are killing cinema in a worthless pursuit. David made a great film.
@theoceanblooms
Or perhaps by being protective of the individual she's not intended for us to go on a witch hunt and just wanted us to focus on the lesson of what she went through and how she handled it 🤷
Rebecca Ferguson has an extraordinary ability at this stuff. Junkets, premieres, chat shows etc. Worthy of a study in acting courses I would say. It's a talent in itself.
In the span of a couple of minutes Rebecca Ferguson manages to take this discussion from her being Swedish to her and Colbert being naked (?) to pitching herself for co-host for Late Night (??)
@Variety
This is where the established industry voices need to start expressing to studios that cinema is not just for opening weekends. The model needs to change to recognise longer periods at the theatres and allow them to grow an audience.
@BeyondTheMask8
For me the ladder scene.. it's an attack on the entire core four group. Never seen that level of brass before. It very effectively showed the fear that ghostface creates and the power it has on anyone in the moment and how different this ghostface is. It was also incredibly tense
@ScottWamplerRIP
Worth adding on here The Last Jedi was a brilliant movie that gave me hope that there could be an amazing future for Star Wars in the simple idea that ANYONE could be a Jedi. It was heartbreaking to see that idea destroyed afterwards by those who didn't want it.
After finishing production on Star Wars in 77' The Jawa Sandcrawler found a new life in Canada Water, London. Still fully functional but with the tracks since removed, it is now a library of books and droid parts.
True story, probably not.

💯 nothing surpasses that scene in

. What a location, craven at his best, gale performance was perfect. Blend of fear, strength, guile. Just excellent all round. Plus THE LIGHTING!!!! stunning
Rebecca Ferguson is a phenomenal actress and seeing how she navigates junkets and premières alongside her craft in her work you can tell stories like this one have helped shape her professionalism and ability with experience.
Dune's Rebecca Ferguson reveals she refused to work with former co-star after being 'screamed at' on set. This is reminder to *ALWAYS* stand up for yourself! Listen to the full interview on my podcast, Reign here:

.. and far beyond the end credits it has us pondering what we understand as the truth of tragedy. It's great cinema and a unique journey that not everyone will want to take but I hope will. 2/2

The same technique the editor used for Fury Road. Nothing weird about it. In fact it was partly why it won best editing in 2016 at the Oscars.
@MoviesThatMaher
Also even in that scene Gary made it all about himself and how he feels and how Arthur made him feel. Which was pointing to the larger idea that everyone was fixated on how Arthur makes them feel with no understanding of how he became that or why he needs to get better.

because of a crumbling NHS. It's exactly why these nurses and others are fighting back. They see it everyday. It's not their fault. This is deeply the wrong question to ask them.

Happy 35th birthday to The Abyss released in 1989. A movie that reminds us that hate blinds you from the beauty of the unknown
Sometimes portrait images work better than landscape.. I took this photo earlier this evening. Still wouldn't want to watch a movie this way though.

It just shows that many general audiences have forgotten to engage with how they watch films. Remove baggage of what we think it should be and watch what it is and every film is better. In the most basic technical elements alone Joker 2 is far superior (acting, visuals, story).
My family and I had an amazing morning at a special 'SEN' screening of
#IFMovie
. A beautiful, funny & emotional, imagination affirming journey that truly cares about your heart no matter your age. If only all movies cared as much as IF does.

🙌 in cinemas 17th May.
@imPatrickT
There are people who don't understand or care for art or cinema and when they comment in glee at the retirement of artists who work in that medium it's ever more clear. I don't make movies for them but certainly can about them. Garland will be sorely missed.

You do know the plane didn't crash BECAUSE of the gender party right? Whatever happened with the planes wings happened because of other reasons. It's a plane.

Movies should have a full theatrical release and exclusivity not a token gesture. You are destroying an entire art form for immediate gain. This movie deserves significant cinema time.
My plans didn't quite work out tonight but as I was at

UK premiere was a total blast. Thank you
@warnerbrosuk
for inviting us.
After waiting 9,998,383,917,498 years for more things strange and unusual Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is everything I hoped for.
I can't wait to watch it again from 6th Sept in cinemas.
@SmutnyRogalik
@menonfilmpod
The only VFX in this are the explosions and the dying men on the top of the rig.. The rest was real. So yes this is just as minimal as anything in fury road which I assume is what you mean by "original" since CGI didn't exist for the actual original.
@GiteshPandya
What this ultimately shows is that the DCEU cannot make movies just for its fanbase because it's fanbase is not large enough to make them financially viable. Without pulling in larger general audiences they just won't succeed. DC films like 'Joker' however, have that extra pull.
Incredibly honoured to have been invited by the wonderful people at
@WarnerBrosUK
to attend the UK Premiere of
#BeetlejuiceBeetlejuiceMovie
tomorrow and can't wait to see what Tim Burton and the rest of the incredible talent behind and in front of the camera have in store for us.

for the invite to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. A mecha fun packed monster mash of nuclear action with scope & scale through-the-roof and as epic as these titan characters deserve. As a fan of the monsterverse I loved it.

@Variety
Judging by the way the crowd responded last night at the UK screening they absolutely are ready. The energy was electric. Unlike anything at the cinema in a long time.
🙌
@SonyPicturesUK
for the invite. I've not heard such a magnetic reaction in the cinema like this in years.

Ride or Die was made to do this. Inventive action, hilarious comedy & two charismatic leads every bit as magic as you want
@Garybaldi_77
The Terminator has LOADS of exposition it's just that Cameron does it on the move in the action so it never feels like exposition. It's brilliantly crafted. Exactly how exposition that must be there should be shown. 80s films were all great at doing this.
Absolutely cannot wait for tonight.
@ianredpath
and I have been invited to the UK premiere of
#JokerFolieADeux
, one of our most anticipated films of the year. Cinema should be bold and risky and I have no doubt it will be that and more, though the weather might be too. 🤣
@JarydHeadley
Jaz just did it in the wrong order.. Mollie would have been convinced against Andrew but never Harry. He had the moment to vote Harry but chose Andrew first.. the other way around and jaz and Mollie would have won.
#TheFallGuy
A story about a guy who loses everything because of the pettiness of powerful people and his own inability to say the words he must in order to heal, is far more in-tune with people than is recognised. It's not just great comedy, action & romance. it has genuine heart
@jeremylovesyall
Stop trying to make box office the benchmark of quality filmmaking. DUNE Pt1 made just $400m and yet it's a masterpiece and about to be finished by a masterpiece conclusive sequel.
@msbreviews
Shouldn't we be celebrating great cinema instead of being upset by it? I've actually lost count of how many movies are called "trash" or "pointless" etc etc there are far more of those than films called Masterpieces. 🤷
@sethsfilmreview
This is not the take. You're making this binary where it doesn't exist. We can celebrate lily whilst being upset for Margot at the same time.
@MattSearing
@NextBestPicture
Why do we still compare everything instead of just letting each piece be its own amazing quality? It's really not needed. All 3 are brilliant artists.
#HaroldAndThePurpleCrayon

There are no answers. The genius of the film was to create an overload of questions with the only truth that upon contact with this form of being there is no salvation just apocalypse
@Fan_FlickOn
@HollywoodHandle
All 3 are completely different movies and the fact Oppenheimer and Barbie co existed and made as much as they did shows that pitting movies against each other is pointlessly negative. They ALL deserve success.
Haven't stopped thinking about
#JokerFolieAdeux
an extraordinary character study & commentary on sensationalism, influence and the truth of tragedy. An incredibly powerful experience with intoxicating musical set pieces, unmatched performances and haunting cinematography.

George Miller's breathless examination of damnation with epic action & stand-out performances from Anya Taylor-Joy & Chris Hemsworth is in cinemas now.

Cannot wait for The Penguin. I've intentionally stayed clear of the trailers because I was already determined to watch it and want to do so without any spoilers. Colin Farrel was utterly transformed in
@TheBatman
and this just has so much potential to be a classic.
#ThePenguin
Do yourselves a favour and MUTE

There are so many limitations in the film format that much is omitted but in tone, thematic power, lasting ideas and questions and spectacle it's a faultless adaptation. I cannot envisage a better way to do DUNE on the big screen.
#Furiosa
is a breathless examination of damnation, not just of a world become wasteland, but of those who inhabit it. Another swerve by George Miller in his ever-changing saga. Propulsive action aside, this time he's dedicated to breaking down and building up legends.
#MadMax
🙌
It was an honour to "witness" the George Miller Masterpiece
#FURIOSA

Anya Taylor-Joy & Chris Hemsworth are amazing in a breathless examination of damnation. An incredible experience in IMAX.

but the last jedi expressed that throughout the movie from the very beginning. Star wars was fast becoming focused on extending the Skywalker line. Rey in the last jedi was about to become a clear unconnected lead power.
@Luiz_Fernando_J
Just back from the premiere and euphoria is just about the right word. I can't wait for the embargo to lift because this is faultless filmmaking, poignant, muscular, beautiful cinema. Not just technical. Genuinely gutted I have to wait another 2 weeks to see it again.
Still not over the magnetic effect of Bad Boys Ride or Die in the cinema last night. It was electric in there. So many big moments had everyone pumping with cheers, laughter, shock & awe. A true crowd pleaser. Will smith and Martin Lawrence are on the pulse big time.

Back in the day films would open to these numbers and be called a success because they would go on to have incredible legs. I hope the audience, such a great crowd-pleasing, lovable film deserves, take a leap of faith and go see it because it's such a great time at the cinema.
