What I love about movies from the 70s/80s is they don't spend loads of time on exposition. The Predator simply shows up, as does The Terminator. In Back to the Future time travel happens via the Flux Capacitor, thats it! And the Alien is already on LV-426. Perfection.🤌

When it comes to creating backdrops in movies, old school matte paintings are still unsurpassed in my opinion. The fact they still hold up so well even under modern HD is a credit to the artists who painted them.🤌

Predator (1987) is perfect filmmaking. There are no wasted minutes, all the characters are important and given screen time. Exposition is drip fed and doesn't even waste any time explaining where it come from, it simply just shows up. 🤌 "I'm gonna have me some fun."
