Delighted to add CELESTIN to the string after his romp on AW debut at Chantilly on Thursday. He was 4th in the French Guineas in 2020 and won two big handicaps last summer (the latter off 103). Currently rated 94 he will be given some form of international campaign this winter.

🏆 boom! Normande wins again. @EcurieSeror deserves the credit for suggesting we claim her, rated just 91 on the BHA scale. She’s been 🥇🥈🥇 in three runs for us and taken home €46,000 in prize money. A fabulous advertisement for the french programme book and pots, today’s race

Bonkers day today with 7 runners between Fontainebleau and Kempton. FB host their most valuable card of the year with €435,000 up for grabs - having several stabs at it but likely to be running for place money at best. Kempton is a chance to qualify for the stayers final in Dec.

BEAUTIFUL SKY 3.38D today. I’m confident he’s the most talented horse in the race but he’s an absolute nightmare to ride and this is an apprentice riders race. Couldn’t be confident enough to back him at 3/1 but fingers crossed he goes well

The end of a fantastic weekend at Auteuil. Something if a tale of two halves on the track. Saturday: FOR FRIENDSHIP took a kick after the (2nd 🤬) false start and was withdrawn. He seems ok and if he recovers from the small bruise he took he’ll run a week today at Compiegne.

A hat-trick of 🥈 for Andaleep who ran another cracker and another Timeform career best. The race turned into a sprint and he toughed it out to beat his group but the winner was too quick for him up the rail (has 1m form). Very nice TF comment - ‘remarkable’ indeed!

ANDALEEP having his 3rd go in the Racing League in 4 weeks. Two 🥈 to his name so far, would be very nice to go one better today! He loves this track on decent ground but is above his career high winning mark and run two big races recently - hopefully he can go to the well once..

One today ahead of a very busy weekend of runners on the horizon. JANGO D’AIRY (1.12C) gets a drop in grade and good ground. He should be too good for this group and although the price has gone somewhat overnight I would still bet him at 11/4. Anything but a 🥇 disappointing

Some effort with Monster Caroli - given a mark equivalent to about 102 after finishing 4th in a claimer at Cagnes in December (yours for 12k, no takers). Since when has won 5 races including 3 handicaps and now a listed race - €135k banked in the process!

Off to Sandown today to see ANDALEEP (5.12S) run, first time I've been on course in England to see a runner since this fixture last year! Andaleep ran a stinker that day but comes here in the form of his life, hopefully better today. Competitive race as you'd expect for the ££ 🤞

A great day! Andaleep ran an absolute stormer in a fiercely strong race to finish 3rd. The rain arrived an hour too early for him - if they ground had stayed quicker he might have been closer. He’ll be kept busy on decent ground this summer and hasn’t stopped improving yet…

Delighted with Kalinqa’s hurdle debut yesterday, she jumped beautifully and was unlucky to be collated late for 2nd by a horse held right up off a decent pace set by the 4th. To finish 🥉 at Auteuil on debut is an excellent start and beat some very well regarded ones. Onwards 👍

KALINQA (1.33A) has her first go over hurdles today. She was bought with this race in mind, by Galiway so we hope she can make up into a decent hurdler. She’s schooled well (video below, in rear) and has plenty of experience on the flat which should stand her in good stead…

Was busy with Ascot but thrilled to see ANDALEEP run brilliantly again to finish 🥈 at Goodwood up in trip. Pulled well clear of the 3rd so hopefully the handicapper doesn’t overreact - on his 54th run and at age 7 Timeform make it a career best at 95+. He’s a joy to own 🐎🐎

Not too far! Normande has bolted up 🏆 and made a mockery of my pessimism of her revised mark. Mickael has done a wonderful job with her and she’s well and truly earned her break. She’ll be back in the spring for Quintes on good ground and who knows…maybe she can defy another

Two today at the Cagnes finale! NORMANDE (1.15) has been a gem for us, has won €46,500 with 🥇 🥈 🥇 in three runs since being claimed for €13,500 in late October. Unfortunately the handicapper has had his say and she’s now 20lbs higher than her first win - the 10lbs for her ..

@BarstewardsThe @KoosRacingClub It does depend on what you want from ownership - how often you expect to go racing, see horses at the yard etc. I was at the races for a total of one runner in 🇫🇷 this year (out of 114). But the prog book and prize money gives you a real chance over there to make it pay

CELESTIN (12.55D) is back out today in the 1900m Quinte at Deauville. He quickly repaid us following the claim at Chantilly by winning a C2 conditions race LTO at Pau. The claimer has now produced five individual subsequent winners which is exceptional for the grade and Celestin

Very pleased with that 🥈 today. They went no pace early which didn’t help his jumping but he stayed on nicely when the taps were turned on and just couldn’t overcome the 5kg well-in at the weights which Calnutz had over him. Back to handicap company next - probs early December🤞

Put yesterday behind us and go to Dieppe today for the 11.35 where ZUREKIN makes his return. Diverted here from Toulouse when the ground came up quick there. This is a listed race rather than a handicap and he is "badly in" vs Calnutz and Fandango at the weights...

BOTAS runs today (4.37 Evreux - no, me neither). Back into claiming company but looks a decent race for the track with a few boasting recent handicap form off OK marks. He's 11/1 which seems about right, slightly up in trip and he's a "character" - best watched!

One runner today - RASANGO goes in the 1.15L. Frustratingly got injured to rule himself out of his intended Cagnes targets, so starts off for us here today. Trip on the sharp side and ground probably not as deep as he would like, but hopefully step to Auteuil/Compiegne in spring

Tomorrow we have YOUNES at Clairefontaine (where I will be!). Ran a lovely race to finished 2nd LTO and meets the winner on worse terms so hard to be confident he can overturn that form, but hopefully in the first few home.

the odds I think my horse will start. So if I had the chance to be evens for a €40k race or 5/1 for a €100k race I’d always prefer the former. The last thing I want to do is take on the best horses and reduce my chances of winning!

At the Sunbury Sandpit tonight for BOTAS (8.00K) - ran a stinker LTO but during some general yard malaise and the form seems to have turned. He’s back to C&D he ran well over in English debut - I’ve backed him ew with the 4 places 🤞🤞
