My husband and I met in grad school. On our 1st V-Day, we had huge essays due the next day. We ordered in Chinese food, put on a romcom for ambience and wrote. 13 years later, it's our tradition. Tonight, we'll order Chinese food and watch a romcom. (No writing essays tho.)❤️

Every MLK Day growing up, my mom had us all share our my favorite MLK quotes. Decades later, she still calls for them. When Mom called today, I shared: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." ❤️

I took a 'ME' day, which involved laundry, some deep cleaning, and starting a brand new #pb draft I'm so excited about. Now I'm going to squeeze in some reading and hot tea before everyone gets home. Tomorrow - Thanksgiving prep!

I took a whole week off from even glancing at my stories and reread two today with completely fresh eyes. It's amazing the clarity that comes from time, rest and a new perspective. I'm ready to jump back in! 🥳
