For my first interview story with
@TheAthletic
, I had the great pleasure of meeting
@ThisIsUD
and speaking to his teammates about how UD’s South Florida upbringing, impact as a teammate and philanthropic plans for life after basketball:

@brownandbella
That part stuck with me most. His daughter had more sense than him, and he acknowledged the states not even caring. So many people are thinking like that, and don't see the imminent danger.
@RVAReid
Plus, people really take for granted trusting others with edible food. Should be good with cooks, etc. being paid well as assurance you can safely eat somewhere.
@minakimes
@DianteLeeFB
Kris Jenkins - Warren Sapp was kinda one sided with Sapp never publicly expressing his hate for Jenkins like Jenkins did for him but buddy let me tell you Kris Jenkins had enough hate for both of them.
The Celtics didn’t have any finalists for any NBA awards this season. Did that bother Joe Mazzulla?
“No, not at all. I think it’s beautiful. … Why would you get an award for the past?”
Some career news...
I’m excited to finally share I’ll be transitioning to ESPN Digital as an Associate Editor for trending news on Sunday.
Greatly looking forward to the ideas that can be cooked up and shared with this team!
Made a new friend recently. Their name is Goldy. Congrats to my ESPN colleagues on the shared accomplishment of SportsCenter’s win for Best Studio Daily Show in 2020-21, the program’s first since 2004.

Why are you making it a competition? I'd imagine there are plenty Black boys realizing they can empower themselves *and* Black girls. It's sad that you're not making room for both, and there's no need to project that onto children.
@DragonflyJonez
There was a story how he worked as a hotel bellhop one summer and never had to carry bags up the stairs, cuz he could just toss them through the window. Would believe any Wilt story ever.
With news of Doc Rivers taking over as 76ers head coach, I’m resharing my first with
@FiveThirtyEight
, where I lay out whether Philly can win a title with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons:
Derek Fisher will be the head coach for his son Drew Fisher and Matt Barnes’ twin boys Carter and Isaiah at Crespi Carmelite High School in Los Angeles

Two grocery store observations:
1) Going at 7 AM is really a life hack. Don’t think I can go back to afternoon/evening shopping. I can’t believe I’ve been so late to the idea
2) Buying two and getting one free doesn’t feel like a true sale, just hoarding. I could be wrong.
@JoshEberley
Honestly, the biggest differences could simply be they handled the ball and initiated offenses more often. It could (partially) explain why bigs often get criminally slept on in GOAT conversations.
@linzsports
The thing about this hyperbole is it sets her up for criticism she’s not even soliciting. Nobody doubts she’s incredible, but this just invites unnecessary hairsplitting.
Last season, Lonzo Ball finished ahead of Duncan Robinson and Buddy Hield in catch-and-shoot 3-point percentage. My latest with
@FiveThirtyEight
examines the reinvention of his jumper since finding comfort in New Orleans:
Sharing my latest with The Athletic, for which I owe great thanks to
@kaj33
, his team and several others for helping me narrate the legacy of the New York Renaissance, who were created a century ago and shaped basketball’s path to integration.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Bob Douglas creating the New York Renaissance — arguably the best pro hoops team preceding integration.
@JJ__NBA
on the team that won 86 percent of its games and rose to hoop lore.
@el_budget
With a good running game. He's very good off play-action. There are very few throws Jameis can't make, but the Bucs had a top-5 running game for only his rookie year. They've been outside the top-20 otherwise.
Know it’s incredibly easy to revoke an award from Rudy Gobert, but you’re not watching if you think *anybody* is stopping Jokic.
It’s the whole reason the league is helpless.
In my latest for
@FiveThirtyEight
, I examined the transcendence of Anthony Davis, who proved to be the Lakers' ultimate margin for error as the team snapped its decade-long title drought:
