@grahamwalker But that begs the question: why is it even possible to have a poor configuration. Imagine saying the same about the iPhone: it’s a great device but only if the user knows how to, and properly configured it. Make it impossible to have a bad configuration.

Result in a lower likelihood of death or disability in a collision.This is no small thing considering 46,000 deaths >1M injuries annually

@garyblack00 The question is, can Tesla do this without any advertising at all. Perhaps EM trying to prove a point. Perhaps he understands that word of mouth is the most valuable adv there is. A sophisticated mind can accept two truths simultaneously. Tesla is not going to advertise.

@garyblack00 I don’t disagree that adv could change perception, GB. But, like government regulations, once you get on that train, it’s impossible to stop. No one ever says: we have to stop our advertising now - despite multiple studies showing it has little effect for many companies. Wasted $

@JonErlichman This is exactly the issue with electronic medical records. Steve says you just start with the customer experience and move backwards to the technology. With EHR’s the user/customer - the physician - isn’t even on the radar.
