2/ I was about to override by nudging it with the accelerator but fortunately did not. A driver talking on her cell phone came barreling through a red light and would have T boned me. FSD Beta detected that the car was not slowing and properly did not make the left turn.

@omedyentral @p_ferragu Just the opposite. I’m an instrument-rated private pilot. Just like in aviation, autopilot can occasionally do wacky things. Always monitor the gauges and surrounding traffic. But monitoring takes a heck of a lot less work than active driving.

@TroyTeslike Lack of parking sensors is incredibly frustrating. It’s the one bad decision Tesla has made. I have a niece I convinced to buy a Y. She’s constantly complaining about it and already had a minor crash a day she was in a rush to get to the hospital with a sick infant.

The faster Tesla can double cumulative production, the faster they can lower their production costs by another 15-25% (only they know exactly how much).

Wright’s law is key to understanding how Tesla will continue to undercut the legacy makers on production costs, margin, price. You can’t take advantage of Wright’s law unless you are pushing the limits of production. Tesla sprinting while legacy makers still stuck in neutral.

. @ARKInvest has centered its research on Wright’s Law. Wright’s Law is much better than Moore’s Law in forecasting the pace of technologically enabled innovation, even in the semiconductor industry. Wright’s Law is a function of units while Moore’s Law is a function time.

Result in a lower likelihood of death or disability in a collision.This is no small thing considering 46,000 deaths >1M injuries annually

@garyblack00 The question is, can Tesla do this without any advertising at all. Perhaps EM trying to prove a point. Perhaps he understands that word of mouth is the most valuable adv there is. A sophisticated mind can accept two truths simultaneously. Tesla is not going to advertise.

@garyblack00 I don’t disagree that adv could change perception, GB. But, like government regulations, once you get on that train, it’s impossible to stop. No one ever says: we have to stop our advertising now - despite multiple studies showing it has little effect for many companies. Wasted $

@JonErlichman This is exactly the issue with electronic medical records. Steve says you just start with the customer experience and move backwards to the technology. With EHR’s the user/customer - the physician - isn’t even on the radar.
