This morning, we worked with @DBCargoUK , to successfully trial the use of a Hydro-Treated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel, to deliver sand to our Elton plant by rail. This development could reduce the carbon footprint of this part of our product’s supply chain by 98.7%! Fantastic work!

Big gob? Did you know this phrase originally comes from the glass trade? Glass blowers needed lots of breath to make a molten lump of glass – a ‘gob’ – take shape. Their cheeks blew out to push the air through, which is why someone with a big mouth is told they have a big gob.

In Elton, we get our water from the River Dee. It goes through our plant and is treated on site before being filtered into our pond. We put the water back into the environment in a better state than when we take it!
