Okay, so I think we can conclude I’m not going to be the next Mayor of London 😏…but we’re having a great time listening to the results and assessing how close we are to candidates with big budgets and all the airtime.
It is a great privilege to become the Chancellor of
@UniWestminster
. I feel a deep personal resonance with the mission to 'help students and colleagues from different backgrounds fulfil their potential and contribute to a more sustainable, equitable and healthier society'.
We are proud to announce that
@NatDCampbell
MBE, social entrepreneur and CEO, has been appointed as the next Chancellor of the University of Westminster 👏
And just like that, what feels like a lifetime of ideas, goals, dreams, hopes, rage and frustration comes to a close.
The result will be announced on Saturday evening (hopefully). I’ll livestream it (hopefully).
Thank you to everyone that showed up today both online and in
Don’t have all the words yet but I want to say a huge thanks to

and La Familia (which includes friends).
And to everyone that voted, regardless of who you voted for. Thank you!
After the best decade of my career I’m thrilled to announce that in March I hand over
@beluwater
to the incredible Natalie Campbell to take it into the next one

How to vote (less than 5 hours to go):
1. Look for your polling card, it has the address of your local polling station. A quick google will bring up the info too.
2. Find your ID (passport, drivers licence, student card).
3. Head to the polling station…
4. On arrival they’ll
Still reflecting and finding the words…
Then I saw this, it speaks to so much of what I’m thinking right now. The part about ‘attempt’ and ‘good’…✨
I’m mulling on the fact that 5 million people didn’t vote for the current Mayor. What does a win mean in this context? Would I
#TeamCampbell
- this is it - you know what we need to do!!
Be loud with your vote today, tell your family, friends, colleagues and remind them to get out and vote.
We can change everything today. All it takes is one simple action.
Your vote.
You decide the outcome not the
This one is for my Grandad. He was a strong and proud man (who loved driving around London - he owned a car garage in Earls Court). As he aged he lost his sight & mobility but never his spirit… until buses became impossible for him to navigate & cash machines became a place he
The Mayor of London has actual ‘levers’ to drive through change via policy and investment. Changing the Met Police, supporting young people, championing arts & culture (and more). Regardless of national government we can ‘get s**t done’. That’s my approach. Thanks for the chat
This is Ashley. He owns Cable Coffee Co = 3 sites and a small roastary in West London. He’s kept me coffee-d up for years. He works over 100 hours a week just to stand still. He wants his Mayor to fight for small businesses. A simple ask currently unfulfilled.
My answer to any and all questions over the next 6 days is…1.5 million as
@RossLydall
found out this week during our interview:
Even for an entrepreneur, it feels a risky investment. “I believe in myself,” she says. “I think London deserves it. I’m
Even less people turned up to vote this time. 59.5% of London stayed at home. The mix of who showed up is key, we don’t know this level of detail yet.
Had the current Mayor not blocked all candidates from hustings it would have been higher because people would have felt like
@OsM0627
Yup. Full emphasis on Ex. Four months. I own it and I’ve moved on…but totally get that it means some people won’t vote for me. If you watch my manifesto you’ll see who I am.
I support
@clearpolitic5
and the campaign to Reform Political Advertising. As part of this I promise to never mislead voters. I urge all independent candidates to sign up too.
A reminder of what your vote (tomorrow) will deliver for London…Well Communities and Better Lives.
From travel to the arts, the environment to entrepreneurship, l listened first and responded second. This isn’t a party line, it’s what you said you want and what I know I can
Three of the four candidates given airtime on ITV last night snubbed hustings for Londoners. Without explanation. Two, Labour and Conservative haven’t shared manifestos. Just PR stunts. Yet, the election is 15 days away.
They are showing you who they are: arrogant, complacent,
I recorded this conversation with How I Became Podcast at the start of my bid for Mayor. I had a feeling that candidates would attempt to:
A) run on a single issue (ULEZ or crime and then add a dash of racist retoric or a lazy trope e.g. the only issue worth speaking to the

Patiently waiting…
Reading messages (although not fully responding yet).
One question people keep asking is ‘how did you know what to do?’. I didn’t, even today at the counts we’re winging it and learning on the fly.
The most effective way to do something is to just do it. I
My message is clear - voting for me will deliver change based on what Londoners said they want. I asked, I listened (and still listen) then I got to work on the plan.
It’s a wide open field. Vote for change.
I LOVE that people are *finally* talking about the election and voting. Even if it’s not for me…the 58% that don’t vote are definitely all up in my feed right now. Stand up and vote for whatever you believe in.
My thoughts post
@InclusionLondon
1. Candidates that have their name on the ballot need to show up.
2. The full
@InclusionLondon
manifesto should be adopted.
3. A Deputy Mayor for Disabled People and Older Londoners is key to delivering change.
4. I’ve been a board level (LEAP
I want all young people to feel like anything is possible in London. I’ve never been afraid of doing hard things, but I know it’s not easy in times like this to feel like London has real opportunities to live a better life. I will change this when I become the next Mayor of
Good Morning!
My gut feeling is that you all showed up in force, loads of first time voters too. Thank you ♥️✨💯

took a moment to pause and celebrate getting onto the mayoral ballot. I invited some of ‘the 330’ (as they will now be called), family and friends to the Vote Schmote exhibition to raise a glass to March, and get ready for April.

We know the correlation, but yet politicians refuse to act on advice to invest in preventative activities.
I will. Because I know it works, the whole sector(s) knows.
85,000 children will have a better future with me as the next Mayor of London.

We're very excited to announce our new Chair of Trustees, Natalie Campbell.
Natalie is a social entrepreneur and experienced non-exec director with a unique combination of skills developed over a career in public, private and social sectors.
The budget for London is - at a min - £17B a year. Mainly allocated to TfL & the Met. When ppl say ‘how will you fund X’? I remind them that the current Mayor spent £6M on a performative station rename.
What gets funded is a political choice - choose who you vote for wisely.
Let me say this loud and clear, an independent candidate, running on a commitment to lead with a CEO’s approach can absolutely win in London. It’s what this city desperately needs.
Accountability over finger-pointing.
Action over empty ideas.
Ability over ‘who you know’.
Huge thanks to
@BlvckCanvasTV
for inviting me on the show to talk about the campaign. My run is about more than ‘the win’. It’s about the process, raising awareness, and driving engagement with the political processes that ignore the silent majority - in this case the 58% of
With only a few more days until the local elections, we sat down with independent mayoral candidate,
@NatDCampbell
to discuss her manifesto and what it takes to run an independent campaign.
Listen to the full interview now on all streaming platforms and watch on YouTube.
I couldn’t work out why Bin Face got so much coverage including the front cover of a tabloid. Like, who funds him? And why are political editors obsessed? And why did he get the only handshake? I finished my Google and then I realised….: - silly me. Still
I’m frustrated. I’ve been told by journalists & organisations that they can’t attend events I invite them to or speak on platforms because it’s not politically ‘fair’. These events, I fund/create because *I’m not included* but care about making sure we hear from Londoners & have
I asked Londoners what they wanted, I listened, and responded through my manifesto. I published it weeks ago, as a series of accessible short videos. Then, I shared snippets focussed on my first day and first 100 days. It’s how a candidate that respects the voters should behave.
Natalie Campbell is standing as an independent candidate.
She is the co-CEO of a sustainable drinks company and has been the chancellor of the University of Westminster since 2022.

I 💙 London. London had a vibe, but it’s not keeping up with the times. London has lost its way.
This is why I am running to be the

candidate for Mayor of London.
Find out why my CEO-approach is the only way to rebuild a Greater London.
I’ve been on the go, meeting

champions around London. I’m still asking everyone I meet ‘what do you want?’ from your next Mayor of London.
The What London Wants survey is live on - it only takes a few minutes - have your say!
This is my little brother. I can’t get him to smile in photos 😏 but he’s v happy. This avo he looked after the local community through sport. He also raised funds to give bursaries to kids. Watching families staying active through play = the joy London can bring. When it works.
Last week I took time away from the campaign in London to meet Steve Freer of Tempus Novo in Leeds. It’s good for the soul to hang out with people that say ‘it’s about making lives better’. It’s also good to remember that London operates much better when connected to other

let’s have an honest conversation. As Mayor of London I would take full accountability for the Met and resetting how it delivers for London.
'Do you think the Met is institutionally racist?'
'Yes, I'm black.'
Independent candidate for Mayor of London Natalie Campbell tells
@TomSwarbrick1
that she would have sack Sir Mark Rowley were she elected as Mayor because of the 'cultural issues' within the Met police.
Just before we walked into City Hall for the first session about the process to run for Mayor of London (May 2nd, 2024) …a rainbow appeared.
As if by magic.
Think my grandi-pops approves 🤍

She cited Child Q as the heart of her motivation to become mayor and said her “day one priority would be to end the use of strip search in schools”.

My day one actions, as in, on day one these things will happen.
I want to focus on 1 + 2 for a moment.
1. Over 9000 children have been STRIP SEARCHED by the Met. Why?!? Some under the age of 13. Yet, this Mayor keeps talking about London being the best place to grow up. He
Very disappointing that big party candidates haven’t shown up to a hustings to outline their plans for Deaf and Disabled Londoners -

Getting into this race I decided it wasn’t enough to just run. I had to make a difference regardless of the outcome.
This is the first step, a behind the scenes docseries demystifying how to run as an independent candidate.

I know it’s Kings Cross, I know it’s Zone 1, I know it’s a private landlord but…the bold audacity of this ‘FROM’ rental price for a studio/1-bed left me stunned.
London is broken for real.
