This, broke down into tears one time because a character's mother died of cancer. I was 15 then, working on my first manuscript. It took me years to understand that I was projecting. I cared for my dad until his death from colon cancer. That, must have triggered me.

Just finished @WTalabi 's "Shigidi & the Brass Head of Obalufon" Great book, with fast-paced storytelling. Reading it took me back to the thrill of watching superhero movies. At one point, I imagined this to be a movie. Loved every scene! I am down for a sequel if there's one!😍

2014 He told me to suck it up, that I wasn't the only one to have lost a parent. My dad died of cancer 2 months before. I cared for him till his demise. I was in school just because I had to. Days bled into each other so much that I started mixing up dates and forgetting stuff.
