Thank you to ACC Julian Moss and 3 other colleagues for running the Quedgeley 5km Park Run this morning in full uniform to get our Open Day underway. A deserving shower me thinks!

We are very sad to announce that Retired PD Yogi passed peacefully over rainbow bridge today. His handler PC Mansell was by his side to kiss him goodbye. He enjoyed his retirement to the full. R.I.P. Yogi thank you for your service 🐾🐾 🌈 #YouWillBeRememberedForever

Privileged to attend this year’s National Police Memorial Service at Lincoln Cathedral. The venue and weather were suitably fitting for such a sobering and necessary tribute to over 4000 fallen colleagues.

Taking time today to remember Hollie, murdered on today’s date in February 2014. I have such admiration for Hollie’s family; Nick, Mandy and Chloe for their determination to help others in the face of their personal tragedy. Let’s embrace the opportunities from their efforts.

Honoured to have led a #RemembranceDay service at our headquarters this morning. An opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made and to honour the fallen in World Wars and other conflicts since, including #Gloucestershire police officers & firefighters #LestWeForget

Losing such fine people this week albeit colleagues who thoroughly deserve to put down the pressures of policing. Gemma Avery, after 33 years leaves as an experienced detective investigating rapes and serious sexual offences. Thank you Gemma, enjoy the next chapter of your life.

A joy to say a fond farewell to our colleague Sue Conboy after 24 yrs in policing and to receive framed photos of the magnificent 20k+ epaulettes mural inspired by the death of PC Harper and now a tribute to all our Protective Services. Sue oversaw the gathering of 600 from GC.

Congratulations to Steve and Josh for being the SW Region winners of last night’s Police Bravery Awards. Off duty, responding to a murderous attack and no doubt saved other lives. Very proud to recognise their selfless actions alongside their partners, our PCC and PFEW PS James.
