With over 500 investigations & 9 years of service, this beautiful lad is putting his paws up.

It was such a happy day going over the border yesterday - but it nearly ended in disaster. Lady B was in the cycle lane, waving to fellow cyclists, just as a woman in a red car dangerously overtook a lorry, nearly hitting her, & causing the support car to swerve. Not a nice
A sad day here at NFRSA HQ. A member of our family has left for her next adventure.
Dora was the kindest of dogs, making us laugh when she made a cameo appearance on our first video, (she thought she was a police dog), always looking after everyone.

The sniffer dog, Scar, is leaving the island of Symi after helping to look for Michael Mosley over the past few days. His paws are burnt from the hot rocks he’s been walking on in his search - you can see how he’s limping. An indication of the harsh weather conditions here.
PD Fergie, who ran off when a deer bolted in front of her when she was being walked north of the A831, Polmaily House, near Loch Ness round 10am on Sun 30 June, has been traced safe and well. Thanks to all who shared and responded to our appeal.

PD Gunner and Sgt Yates have just finished their final shift, and retire after 30years service-obviously Gunner has done a little less, but made a massive contribution in his service, his last job he located 3 items from a Burglary!
The National Foundation for Retired Service Animals were absolutely thrilled to be there for this gorgeous little lady, Mollie, who retired from the HMPPS (Northwest Search Team), in 2022, after suffering an horrific accident, where she broke both her front elbows very badly.
The bravery of our police dogs and their handlers is well documented - but this is a typical example of the danger they face every day.
Well done to PD Riggs and your extraordinary handler.

Last night PD Riggs was deployed to a violent subject having committed offences and posing a risk to the public/police safety. Subject arrested for 8 offences and remains in custody. Despite the attempts to injure PD Riggs and handler thankfully no injuries were sustained. 🐕🚨🚔

Thing is - there were these puppies. And well, there was this cute little lady - & she sort of fell into the car - & has now joined the NFRSA family.
