Just drove through #calgary from SW to far SE and encountered a burst of snow, cloudy breaks, rainfall then snow pellets. This is convective and isolated (just like t-storms)throughout southern AB. Good chance of seeing similar development again late tomorrow. #ABstorm #weather .

These thunderstorms off to the west of #yyc will likely stay west of Calgary. The edge of the Omega Block weather pattern is between Calgary and Cochrane, acting like a bubble keeping the storms out of the city. Expect a similar weather set up for tomorrow. #weather #abstorm

Just drove through a cell on Stoney Tr between 154 & Sarcee, heading N. Again, non severe, but a huge downpour. Actually creating small pooling in some spots. Careful for that #yyc . I LOVE sun and heat, but pretty pumped to finally see a good rainfall this June! #abstorm

It's 3:40 and there is a t-storm south west of Cochrane, moving south east. We may see this in Calgary/Okotoks soon. It comes with lightning, a big downpour, strong winds, potentially some small hail. It's one of those days to take the dark clouds seriously in southern Alberta.
