For most of 1970 to 2023 there has been a Hughes at Global Calgary. Today we announced I will be leaving Global (on good terms!). On Friday, July 7 I begin a new job and I am so excited for the opportunity. It brings me consistency, stability & a work-life balance. 🎉

One month ago today I got a phone call from my dad who was over in London visiting my brother, helping him celebrate his 50th birthday. My dad was calling to say my brother had passed away suddenly. This month has been absolutely surreal and a total nightmare as we all try to 1/2

Cooper cracks me up! When he is outside and wants to come in, he will open the screen door and stand partway inside watching me and wait for me to let him in. If Phoebe is out with him she will walk past him and come in. But Cooper will STILL stand there and wait! 😂 #UberPolite

Calgarians (of a certain vintage year 😂) will remember the “St. Patrick’s Day snowstorm”. 32-39 cm of ❄️ (at YYC) over 2-days (40-45 cm around the city). From Wed-Fri (3 days) this wk we had 30.3 cm at YYC & will far exceed those ‘98 totals after today.

Nothing like the ❤️ you feel for your first dog. This was 10-year old me w/my pup Max. We met 1-year before this pic when he was just days old, had not opened his eyes & could barely walk. Despite that, Max made his way past his litter-mates, crawled into my lap & I was hooked!

Three years ago today - “someone” had his first ride in an ambulance. And the next day his daughter made it upstairs. Ten hours after this pic - he was on life support. 😳 Love you papa! We are glad you fought to still be with us! 💕.

Phoebe’s expression sums up how our whole family is feeling tonight. Our sweet angel Molly passed away suddenly this a.m. Molly had such a beautiful soul-so sweet, happy & loving. My ❤️ is so broken that we had to say goodbye so soon. I will miss you so much my sweet girl. 💔🐾
