This week officers from our #CountyLines taskforce stopped a man who was hiding on a train at Newcastle Central 🤔 He was swiftly arrested & taken to custody after they found 11kg of cannabis in his bags. We're on the railway every day, intercepting drugs & catching offenders.

On 27/12/2018 a high value theft occurred on board a train service at Berwick Upon Tweed Railway a lot of the items were of sentimental value, the victim was an 85 year old female , today team 2 response returned all items to the rightful owner. #policingtherailways (KK)

Last week, we received information from another force that 2 wanted persons had travelled on the network. One of our @BTPSpecials conducted CCTV enquiries and circulated descriptions. Within 2 hours, our Sunderland Officers had located them and made arrests for Attempt Murder.

Sunderland officers were involved in two separate incidents with Norhumbria Police yesterday. 3 of the people involved were seen with knives and 2 were caught and detained by BTP. Fantastic teamwork I reckon. 👍

Last night of our @BTPSpecials spent some of his shift working with colleagues at @northumbriapol supporting the busy Night Time Economy in #Newcastle . The Special made an arrest for a drink driver. Person blew 49 at roadside and 50 in custody. Great partnership working 🤝

Some of our Specials based at Newcastle are in Birmingham this weekend completing CPD. As part of this, one of them visited our Birmingham Control Room yesterday to meet some of the team behind the scenes. 2 of our Specials were presented with their King’s Coronation Medal too!

There are significant delays on the Rail Network across the North East and UK, due to #StormBabet . Our Teams are out and about assisting staff and passengers. At Newcastle tonight, we’re joined by 3 Special Police Constables volunteering to provide extra help and support.
