I'm so excited for HSR to start. I can take a train from Thane station to BKC station and reach there in 10 min for Rs 250 only. Now it takes around 1.5 hrs in very crowded trains. (Thane - 2 km from my home, BKC - 500 m from my office)

Today travelled on #Navimumbaimetro for the first time. Reviews - Excellent stations, Modern and clean trains and they use token tickets(rare to see) Te station has huge influence of Harbour stations with big circular arches. The trains are very clean and spotless.

The British developed Matheran as a getaway from the summer heat. The Matheran Hill Railway was built in 1907 by Sir Adamjee Peerbhoy. It has a large rock-cut Ganesh idol called Kadyavarcha Ganpati located on the edge of a hill.
