Sean is a local so we made a couple of videos yesterday, now tell us this public place is inclusive and accessible, go on tell us.🤯
We are in shock. It’s with great pain and sadness we announce the sudden passing of Megan, Sean’s fiancé. Due to be married later this year we are heartbroken for our great friend and fighter for all things equality. We also want to send our love to Megs family and friends. 💔💔

This is just utterly disappointing, our national transport authority has opted to acquire brand new, BRAND NEW, public transport vehicles that will still require PWD to give notice to travel as they are inaccessible to wheelchair users and those with mobility issues.

Gas really that two ministers on salaries of €183,000 plus expenses think that a pensioner can survive on €265.30pw, a carer €237pw and a person with a disability €220pw.
Gas altogether. Anyone for cake?
We are disgusted to see a public representative from a government party that of

A vote has taken place to place an amendment in the eviction ban that People With Disabilities could not be evicted.
The government voted against it meaning people with disabilities can be evicted.
We are aghast that this would be carried.

We were so angry at the TD’s comments last night. Caring for a loved one is an extremely exhausting and emotional role, one we take very serious. No holidays, no respite, no supports, 24/7, 7 days a week maybe walk a day in our shoes before passing judgement.

As we’ve said before, we are not disabled, society disables us. Sent to us from Bray, a young wheelchair user has to contend with this every Monday morning on the way to school. It’s not deliberate but at this stage it’s consistent. We need to be aware of the barriers we impose!

Sean has had enough of “Others” telling him and his community what is “good” for them.
Sean is angry that his voice has been ignored throughout this whole Referendum debate and what he means is the voice of the person living with the Disabilty, Sean wanted to say this!
Here we are getting out of the baths, we had a comment posted did the person filming not assist Sean well the whole point of inclusion and accessibility is that PWD shouldn’t have to wait to be pushed to get to where they want to go in the public realm they want equal access! 🤬
We’re back to this yet again!

1. We Took a phone call from some Irishrail employees last week they wanted to meet up for a coffee and to talk. We met with them and they wanted to discuss the ongoing issues around staffing and being unable to meet the needs that PWD and those with mobility issues are facing.
This is a story we hear on repeat from young disabled adults trying so very hard to be included in our society and to have equal access to all the tools that allow us as a people to be able to go about our daily lives unhindered. Transport, education, housing etc…
So yesterday Sean attended an event in which
@LeoVaradkar
was a guest.
While very courteous we detected an uncomfortable presence around Sean. As you all know Sean elegantly and without aggression always addresses the issues that our community faces.
He felt that the concerns

If tickets are being issued it’s because they are parking illegally and creating barriers for people.

there are days we too can relax and forget about the issues but it’s just for a day!!!!! Yesterday’s celebration was one of those days, what do you see? We see a family smiling and happy together, some days are not so hard. 🥳
But living with a disability or caring for someone disabled in Ireland in 2022 you are not equal and you never have been. Transport is one issue that we use to highlight this massive inequality. Poverty is greater when you have disability in your life and exclusion is accepted.
Today we learned that all the lifts work.

Every building on the island of Ireland is to be made fully accessible.
Your disability and caring payments are to be brought up to the PUP level of €350pw.
