APSE will honor Donn Walden by contributing $1,000 in expenses for a selected sports editor from a small-circulation publication to attend the summer conference every year. It will be called the Donn Walden Leadership Grant.
APSE is establishing the Garry D. Howard scholarship to honor our organization’s first Black president. The scholarship — one of five $1,250 college scholarships — will go to a student at a historically Black college and university.
