One thing for sure, the Q4 13F filings of institutional investors for $TSLA is gonna be interesting. From Monday to Thursday, ~59m shares or ~$22b worth being bought up, share price up ~13%. Some big boys are sweeping the market. It's clearly not short-covering driven.

@DisruptResearch I guess this answers your earlier question of why Tesla having the Battery Day. Elon was essentially trying to force everybody's hand to accelerate their efforts of electrifying the world, from R&D labs to miners, from battery makers to automakers, and whatnot.

One of $TSLAQ’s criticism was that Tesla only make money outside US, especially in China 2022 put another bear case to rest Tesla US generated $5.5B pre-tax income in 2022, despite being the house to most Tesla cost centres, e.g. FSD/AI team, 4680 pilot team, etc. @elonmusk

Free Cash Flow of US Carmakers Last week I posted an erroneous table of FCFs (stating that Tesla is the only FCF-positive US carmaker in TTM), reposting here. Turns out Ford actually generated pretty strong FCF too, but GM is a giant cash furnace.
