I have never heard a bigger crowd laugh in a theater in my LIFE than the one for the scene just before intermission for EEGA. I loved it SO much, totally understand why @ssrajamouli considers it his favorite film he's made. A blast with a crowd. Can't wait for both Baahubalis!

Can't forget this one. Friend of my dad's, who's a firefighter, was shot in the foot that night. Stuck around to help but wouldn't get treated there because the Vegas hospitals were overwhelmed. Drove home to San Diego with a bleeding foot instead. Incredible

But putting the brunt of the blame on renters isn't the answer, either. In the specific examples you cite, both parties are victims of the same larger issue.

It's run by one guy who has 4 kids to provide for, and he now charges influencers double if they ask for comps in exchange for "exposure." I love it. Holy FUCK, SPEED RACER on 35mm was mind blowing. My cheeks hurt from smiling! Emile Hirsch showed up just to see it on the big screen again, and I understand!! Applause for several great moments! Man that was so worth the wait. Wachowskis, man. They rule. Thank you @newbeverly
